How do you propose to balance the budget while putting more money into the military? We already put $600bil into the military every year and have by far the strongest military in the world. It seems like that's the easiest place to cut money.

It sounds like your views mostly align with Rand Paul, to be honest. Outside of military spending.

I agree with you on everything besides Rand Paul. I do not think exclusion of people is in his platform, which is clearly in Oklahomas here.

Actually, I could write for hours on how Obama has cheated, lied and sold our country down the river but everyone has heard it before or just just don`t understand the cost and danger of importing 100,000 Syrian immigrants into our country on an executive order.

I think your struggle with numbers is clouding your judgement.

As it has been stated, the GOP is being destroyed by extreme views. It's incredibly frustrating to be aligned with a party that preaches fear. I guess out of the main contenders I favor Rubio. Cruz gives me the willies. Trump is a buffoon and endorsing him is essentially telling on yourself.

Also, Oklahoma were not a Christian nation. The United States of America doesn't attend any religious services. Majority of our citizens are Christian, myself included, but our politicians shouldn't be making decisions solely to appease religious motivations. Separation of church and state was really important to the smart fellas who built this place.

News flash: the majority of Americans don't know d|ck about world affairs or geography. 41% of Trump faithful may support bombing a fictional city. Conversely, I'd be willing to bet the majority of Hillary voters couldn't find Iraq on a map if you told them Fetty Wap moved there.

This nation does not discriminate when it comes to willful ignorance. Political lines aside, this is a country of dipsh|ts. And they get to vote.

Unfortunately, I bet the majority of Americans (Hillary supporters or not) could not find Iraq on a map. Further, I wonder how many could simply point to the Middle East.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, I don't get online everyday as I now have to go to the library to use a computer (long story).

I listen to retired generals and they are very concerned about the slashing of the military and its capabilities. This is one reason why our enemies no longer fear us. We could make some cuts in the military that wouldn't harm our firepower but that is not what Obama did. We need to listen to the military brass and in particular those that have been routinely dismissed.

Sure we can build the military AND balance the budget. So much waste in government and too many liberal spending bills need to be stopped. Slash the regulations, cut the taxes, bring back the 3 trillion dollars that went overseas and get the GNP growth rate up to 4 or 5 per cent.

Put the tariffs on China and fix the trade imbalance. I've heard plenty of good ideas from the Republicans but nothing from the Dems. 90% tax by Bernie!!!! Hillary is more of Obama.

Yeah, just like everybody else on here I don't know everything, but it seems like we are falling fast under these progressive liberals. This is not the democratic party of JFK. This is socialism. They want a nation of weenies that want handouts and a daddy to take care of them. They are anti God and promote perverts.

Well, we asked for what is about to befall our country. It may well be too late to turn back. ISIS is here as they recruit among us, they can come across the Mexican border as we leave it wide open, we plan to bring them in with the Syrian refugees and we refuse to destroy their Caliphate. It won't be long till they start shutting down football games, and basketball games with their suicide bombings. We reap what we sow. We voted to put people in power that harvest children to sell their body parts.

I don't think a reduction in military spending necessarily precludes a weaker military. I think more effective spending would result in decreased expenditures, an equally strong military, and decreased taxes.

For example: For three consecutive years, the Army has insisted it doesn't need any more tanks. For three consecutive years, Congress continues to buy them more tanks. Hundreds of millions of dollars going to government contractors for thousands of unnecessary tanks that sit in storage.

Remember when the Pentagon lost $8.5 billion dollars? Sounds like they need stronger oversight.

90% tax rate from Bernie is not true. His highest proposed tax rate is 52% for households that make $10m+/year. Don't believe everything Donald Trump says... or anything for that matter.

This line scares me. I must admit my interest level has tailed off a bit (I think because you guys drag out elections FOREVER), but I do feel bad for the position you as voters are being put in next year - there really doesn't seem to be a happy medium that a lot of you have mentioned aligns with your beliefs. However, that being said, as an outsider, I think it is of incredible importance that someone with excellent international diplomacy be elected. The USA is the chaperon at the school dance, the speed trap on the highway. You guys have the most critical role in world peace (which I don't envy - incredibly difficult position). To elect someone with no appreciation for this role is a huge mistake in my mind. I realize it is important to take care of your own, but to ignore damage that some of these insular thinkers will have is foolish.

Please don't take this as an attack on the American political system - believe me, if you could see the clown college we run up here.....

The President should have our country (USA) as priority number one. That would be over special interest groups, party affiliation or personal gains.

If a bill comes up and it helps 50% but hurts 50%, He would vote it down. I would expect that he would govern with a blind eye to race and religion. I think that Trump is the closest to being that person.

I'm a democrat but I like that Trump is not owned by a party or special interest. The GOP had a ton of guys who a few years ago looked liked can't miss prospects (Bush, walker etc) and trump thumped them.

Just don't know if that ability or skill is good for a President. He could run this country in a practical way or He could be an American equivalent to Kim jong un. I don't know.

What I do know is they should not try to screw him out of his nomination. I don't care what party or who you support, we should all stand together in defending our democracy.

Just a technical comment. From a business standpoint the government looks at maintaining an industrial base which means low level production even when not needed. This doesn't mean battalions of extra armor but smart people know you cannot have businesses and more importantly skills going out the door.

So your voting for Bernie? Cause that is the only candidate that fits your profile. You mentioned personal interest and that is Trumps life all he cares about is himself . He has a disorder, yet you are willing to vote for him? Is it his Christan values? Or maybe you believe all the **** Cruz spills with his 5 affairs. Even if not true the guy just creeps me out. Face it republican leaders are messed in the head. I am voting for Kasich but you republicans won't vote for him and will lose to the Dems. Sorry for being direct, and I am sure you are educated, but seriously it is in your and the countries best interest to vote for Kasich. As a voting democrat since I was 18, Kasich is my fav candidate in this election. I would literally cross the line to vote for him. But no, you would rather lose so I am forced to vote for a sane candidate in Clinton.

Sorry I am not a xenophobe, bigot or racist that Trump represents. All for inclusion, like that my grandchildren will respect me.

Gary Johnson is who I am voting for. I am liberal-minded in some things and staunch conservative in others. I think he is the middle-man and did a great job in New Mexico as Governor. I am also a registered Libertarian though, not a Republican.

Gary Johnson fan here too.. (And Rand Paul).Anyway, sucks that candidates that I like will never get elected tho. The media will never give them the air time. People keep telling me that I should vote Trump or Cruz to keep Hillary out but I have a principle of never voting for the lesser of two evils. I dont vote against, I vote for.

I hate it when a Democrat resorts to misleading and name calling. i don't think the Cruz story has been proven. I like Kasich as well but if he was nominated he'd have no choice but to submit to the big donors the way McCain did. I'm opting out of this election. I've never believed the political rhetoric and sensationalism that candidates and pundits spew. I think our next president is certain to be a one termer. Hopefully we can get some solid options for 2020.
