Until, they win a NC, I'll always bitch. Beating Syracuse is a great win, but the game never should of been close. Seeing the talent on this team, this should be the year. Also, it's pathetic they can't find someone to win face offs.

I think the common theme with you is that you ALWAYS BITCH. No matter how well an ND team is playing, BrianKellyTheMan is not ever satisfied. Your squad could have just defeated the previous number one ranked squad--doesn't matter to BKTM. He thinks you're pathetic. Anyone who reads your posts somewhat consistently knows the irrationality that's sure to be globbed all over them. It's okay to acknowledge the good every once in awhile. Bitching is for losers...

They beat this same team last year in a thriller, again just to lose in the NC. I'll never be satisfied until they win one. This is no different with the girls bball team. Being as good as they are, they can't win the big one. But hey if you enjoy coming in second every year, then fine.

Why on earth do you even watch sports? If watching #2 ranked ND Lacrosse fight #1 ranked Syracuse into overtime is "pathetic," then maybe you shouldn't watch? You sound like somebody that has never played competitive sports. Teams sometimes score a lot of points, and then other quality teams do the same. It's a constant ebb & flow. But the suffering that is reading your posts suggests you're not capable of determining that. Just click the TV off and go out and complain about your neighbor's yard or something instead of blabbering on a message board every day about ND's pathetic play in all sports.

Oh, and Go Irish! Exciting win and great to be the new #1...

I agree, Syracuse was the #1 team in the nation for a reason. They're a great team, they could go on a run line that vs anyone.

This team is average and have way to many inconsistent scorers

This team wont make the tourney no point to watching them

This team is pathetic, can't win face offs but yet Corrigan is dumb enough not to switch up O Connor. The team motto needs to be to "shoot the F**ing ball". Corrigan needs to switch up the O, just no rhythm.

Korrigan with another interesting scheme, offense is pathetic and defense can't do much against the 3 best to every play lacrosse. No idea why it's so hard to score against the 48th worst D.

The above quotes come from last year's lacrosse thread, where BrianKellyTheMan went on a similar "we suck" rant. For those who don't follow the sport, not only did ND make the tournament, but finished as the national runner up following an extremely competitive championship game.

Shortly after removing his foot from his mouth, BrianKellyTheMan proceeded to inform us that "ND loses a lot of talent for next year, but also keep some players. Just don't see this being good next year tho."

Illegible sentence formation aside, BrianKelllyTheMan once again shows how out of touch with reality he is; ND began the season as the #2 ranked team in the country, and as of today is the consensus #1 team in the country.

By all means BrianKellyTheMan, please continue your tirades, as seemingly everytime you bring up another "pathetic" aspect of this team, the team makes you look foolish. Not 5 minutes after complaining of an inability to win a faceoff, ND wins one cleanly to tie the game and force overtime.

Its amazing, you're like King Midas. Everything fault you find instantly turns to gold.

I don't know about you guys, but it was a tough day hearing everyone and their mother come to me and talk about the Irish losing in basketball. Although they all agreed that ND took it to kentucky it still sucked to hear it all day!

The one redeeming factor, as stated above, is it nice to see ND #1 in lacrosse. They still have an extremely tough schedule ahead of them but this team is definitely legit. Hopefully Finley gets some confidence at the X after he came on strong at the end of the cuse game!

I dread the Mondays after a loss. So many haters out there.

Try living in a city where UK fans are just across the river. The average UK fan is more obnoxious than any ND superfan, and that says a lot.

Yet again another GREAT W for this Irish team. They are definitely legit. Doss, their goalie is playing amazing. Their D slides probably better than anyone else in the league. Their offense is potent with one of the best attack players, in Kavanaugh, and a lot of other players that can really score. Their only weakness right now is really at the X.

Faceoffs has been the weakness last 5 years.

I thought Finley was OK. Jack Rowe is no slouch, Finley ended up winning 16 of 28 (55%?) and got better as the game went on. Two things I'd like to see him stop doing is; 1. Rotating to his left when he loses the clamp, it creates fast break opportunities the other way and 2. Keep his feet. I counted 3 or 4 times he fell down with a shot at the ground ball toward the end of the game.

To me, the most glaring weakness is defending midfielders who can dodge. Near is an exceptional transition player, but his man to man skills are average and I don't love Koshansky, he's too tall and jerky to stick with smoother, more fluid players. I think they need to find a third defensive specialist at midfield who can better stick a dodger.

Side note: I like Paul Carcaterra, very good in the booth with McAneney, but if he calls Nick Ossello at "220lbs. bull" one more time, I'm muting the TV. Ossello is listed at 185 and while well built and physical, no way resembles a 220lbs. man.
