Notre Dame men's LAX starts the season off at #2. They bring back almost all of their team, which ended up barely losing to Duke last year in the championship game. They also brought in the #2 ranked recruiting class that has a couple of difference makers that should help immediately. Anything less than another final four, and hopefully another shot at the title, is going to be disappointing.

Here's their schedule: They start off with Georgetown this Saturday!!!

02/14/15 vs. Georgetown Notre Dame, Ind. (Loftus Sports Center) 12:00 p.m. ET

The Irish opened up the LAX season with a victory over georgetown 14-12. The game was not on at all so it's hard to tell what went on. A couple of things did stick out on the box score.

1. Their highly recruited, highly touted freshman scored 6 goals.

2. Their goalie save % was low and their starting goalie got pulled.

Other than that it's hard to tell what went down. A win is a win though!

1-0 and on to michigan, who they should hammer!

GO IRISH!

Men's LAX @ michigan today. After looking a little closer, it looks like michigan actually has turned the corner this year. I believe this is their fourth year in lacrosse and they are actually ranked around 25. So ND better come to play!

ND-17

michigan-8

Once again, no coverage of the game but it sounds like Shane Doss took over at goaile and did very well. Their freshman attack player Wynne did well again, along with Kavanaugh.

Good win. Onward to Dartmouth next week and it should be on ESPN3.

GO IRISH!!!

ND 20

dartmouth 5

I don't think the game ended up being on but that's some domination. I looked it up and ND out shot them 50-18. WOW.

That's it for the gimme games. Their schedule get incredibly difficult now. Hopefully this is the springboard game for some dominant performances as they move forward!

Big game for the Irish today as they have to travel to #4 Denver. Denver was pre-season #1 until they lost at unc last week. Denver quite possibly has the best offense in LAX this year so it will be quite the early test for the Irish. Unfortunately the game is not on tv, but after today the rest of ND's men's lacrosse games are televised.
