I feel so bad for her. hopefully just a small twist. she was fired up. loved her speech, after that I knew there was no way they would loose.

This team was going to beat uCONN. UCONN has no bench. Refs are calling a lot of fouls and we play hectic up tempo. Stewart just not shooting the 3 very well at all. Mosqueda Lewis is their savior, she comes back, we lose Natalie, ourch.

I hate to say this, but losing her would have been like Baylor losing that dude that used to play for them. If she is out, then I just don't see ND surviving the next game.

As for ND, this really is unfortunate. You have to love Ace's drive and determination.

I will say, even though they would be HUGE underdogs against uconn without her, this squad plays as a true team, so you never know.

I think so, too. This might be a shot in the arm for the team if indeed she will be out. Reimer isn't bad inside. If Loyd and McBride had huge games, this isn't a foregone conclusion that we would lose.

Notre Dame is chock full of well coached players. But McGraw does not have the number of blue chip recruits that teams like Connecticut, Duke, and even North Carolina have. Notre Dame will be tested, but the girls can prevail with a lot of good teamwork and perhaps a little luck.

 

I am starting to think that Loyd may be the best basketball player in the country bar none or at least one of the top 3. Problem is Connecticut might have the other two.
