  1. Face it this bowl isn't for any bragging rights. It's for the extra practices getting ready for next season.
  2. The extra bowl game practices are very important. I don't care if ND plays the School for the Blind as long as they go bowling.
  3. ND against either LSU or Oklahoma State is my prediction.
  4. The next 2 games plus the bowl game are time for ND to look at the 2024 season and beyond. Everyone knows Hartman is gone after this season so IMO ND should play both Angeli & Minchey and see what they can do. If they show promise then fine, if not hit the transfer portal again. Also, hopefully Freeman is putting out feelers to see who is available for the OC position once the season is over. For next season QB, OC and if Golden moves on a new DC will be needed. Lots of questions need to be answered in 2024 and for the future and next season will go a long way in deciding Freeman's tenure at ND. Will the University open up the checkbook so Freeman can go after the right coaches, or will ND continue to be strapped when it comes to getting the best coaches available? I have been following the Irish since Ara and I don't want the 1988 championship to be the last one I see before I die. I realize ND's hands are tied academically but Freeman has been getting some great talent to commit to Notre Dame. The pieces of the puzzle are there, ND just needs to put the pieces together.
  5. I expect Freeman to continue to grow as a HC and if needed to make the needed changes during the game.
  6. The Irish were outplayed pure and simple, it happens. and tonight, Louisville was the better team. The running game never got going making ND one dimensional and Hartman had an off-night thanks in part to the O lines performance. Poor tackling, costly penalties and turnovers always spell disaster.
  7. On the last 2 plays....yes the coaching staff blew it BUT this team is not going to roll over and die. ND showed that the talent level is on par with the OSUs of the college world and hopefully continues to improve. Freeman is putting his stamp on this program and will continue to gain experience as a HC. Don't give up hope on the Irish just yet. I feel sorry for Duke this weekend.
  8. I swear to God Notre Dame would find a way to drown in the desert.
  9. Freeman is focused unlike Kelly who had the deer in the headlights look leading up to big games Hartman is the missing piece the Irish have sorely missed Rees is gone This team just feels different ND will prove to the college football world that they are for real after a hard fought victory over Ohio State
  10. Unless MF puts in the 2nd and 3rd teams along with the cheerleaders is there really any doubt that ND scores at least 50.
