  1. I've only been able to attend two games, both away. 2001 ND at Nebraska (sat in NE student section, that was fun) to see the Eric Crouch show and 2006 ND at Air Force to see the Chinedum Ndukwe show.
  2. Seems to be conflicting reports depending who reported it. Some had Carmody ahead of Spindler. But early practices tend to be more "seniority" based and then depth charts start to get more set after a few practices.
  3. And the next step in that process is MF feels slighted, will have success next season b/c the team is stacked, and will vacate for the first job that will actually provide him the resources necessary to compete with the big boys.
  4. The main reason being perception. Tom Mendoza tweeted yesterday that in business, the only way to make up for a mistake on this level (which it obviously was) was to hit a home run on the hire. Parker would absolutely not be that. He could succeed, but you bet your ass that every failed 3 and 2 or bad call this fall would probably result in ppl wanting his head on a platter. Not to mention, I wouldn’t be shocked if Hartman walks.
  5. It’s funny that this OC hiring process is what it took for some folks to realize the ND powers that be aren’t serious about being a national title contender. There’s been dozens of reasons up until now to demonstrate they want a “good” team, enough to continue the money train, but not an elite team that would make them get outside their comfort zone.
  6. Right, we don't have to depth to take a flyer on an injury prone kid, regardless of potential. We need bodies who can play on Saturday.
  7. Which if it was more of a run-fit blitz I get, but on passing downs, is the point to get to the QB? Yeah, agreed, he seemed like a different player this year to what you could see pre-injury. Maybe he just wasn't ever truly healthy this year.
  8. My only problem with this is he was so bad at it. His rush consisted of running straight at the blocker every time and get stoned. I don't know if he thought he could run over more ppl than he can or what, but he was completely ineffective here. It's fine to move him here, but you have to coach the kid, he needs to learn some "moves" to get passed the blockers.
  9. I mean, it makes sense, if you're a freshman or sophomore whose multiple spots down the depth chart, why wouldn't your S&C program be different? Most freshman come in and need to add size and strength. That's tough to do during season of play for front line guys when you're getting beat up on Saturdays and need a few days rest and recovery. But if your chance of playing is next to nothing, get bigger and faster.
