It should have been over on the targeting that didn’t get called. Dude lowered his head and launched and they are saying it is tough to tell because he might not have hit with the crown. What in the actual f is that? I think they didn’t want to derail such a great storyline with a penalty so they let it go. Cal let it happen, but that hit was bullcrap and should have given Cal fresh downs to run out the clock.

He throws a bullet. Some of those throws were crazy good. Still, no excuse for how Cals secondary played. Too much cushion throughout the second half. How can you drop 8 and still give up so many big plays?

Cal should be ashamed. What a train wreck.

Cal gave this game away with a little help from the refs. I am sick to my stomach watching them let that 70 yard play go off.

I don’t want them to stop the clock but if they run up the middle after the timeout I am going to be mad. The counter worked great, if you are going to keep the ball on the ground do that.

This is a good game. Rooting for the Bears now leading by 13. 10 minutes to play. Cal has a great linebacker and good defense as a hole, they are worn down. Hopefully 8 goes down tonight!

Louisville has officially crapped the bed.

This is true but this isn’t a job you figure out on your own. He is young for an HC and his support system is questionable. He is going to need to build relationships with the folks who have been there and done that. Love his coordinators right now, he is going to need to keep finding people to mentor him. Without constructive feedback, he is just getting complaints. Hopefully he can continue to grow his mentoring network outside of Tressel. No offense to Jim, just that you need a community of diverse opinions in this role.

Much needed bye. Random thoughts: 1. Conditioning looked great at A&M, with the number of key injuries, looks more like a pig under the lipstick. 2. The offensive line should not be taking any time off. Practice. Leonard needs time to throw from the pocket if we want to beat USC plus all the other teams in route. 3. Freeman needs to get some dudes together and watch some game tape. There are some glaring issues and this is the time to scheme those away. The offense is not great, play to their strengths.
