Hopefully Pete Bevacqua knows exactly what the internal number for NBC's highest offer is and ensures that ND gets at least that for next TV contract.

(He also needs to show more loyalty to his new employer ND than his old employer NBC)

From everything I've heard and read, Bevacqua will be a great AD for ND. Sounds like an ND guy through and through (walked on for Holtz), and has been high up at NBC Sports and the PGA. Sounds like a tough negotiator who loves ND.

Also, have heard that he understands NIL and that should improve under his leadership.

People forget where ND football was before he was hired... If ND stayed the course, they would have been forced into a conference by their on field performances.

I consider him highly.  Very accomplished and well-spoken AD and advocate for ND.  He balances sports with the ND mission as well as its been done.  At the least, he got rid of Charlie Weis.  Built up the Shamrock Series.  Navigated Covid and NIL (as aggressively as ND ever would).  Hired 2 good HC's in Kelly and Freeman.  Had a lot of success in other sports (2 Capital One Cups). 

Seems like a good fit in Bevacqua, but I don't think Swarbrick's legacy should be questioned much.  <*Especially if Parker bails him out with a top tier offense this season!  ha ha ha>.

Truly though, tough job and Swarbrick did it well.

Not a fan.  Should have been gone years ago along with Kelly. 

New guy zero AD experience, not sure how well that will work out.  I believe ND has 7 or so alums who are AD at other DI schools.

Kudos to Jack Swarbrick for a job well done. He deserves to enjoy his well earned retirement. 
The new AD Pete Bevacqua brings an impressive background and sounds like a good fit for ND. He is an alumni and a former walk-on. Can’t get much more ND than that.

Swarbrick did a great job across the board with all  sports during his tenure. He made many good hires beyond football and his latest hioe of Shrewsberry  is as good as his  hiring Freeman and Nellie Ivory. Kudos to him also for keeping ND independent at all costs

Smart guy and he made some good decisions.  I just didn't like his ego or the occasions that he was overriding the HC on staff decisions.

I was a big fan of his. He helped ND navigate some really unique situations and has done an incredible job hiring coaches across sports. I especially look at how he treated Kelly in 2016 when he went 4-8. He didn’t kick Kelly to the curb like every other big D1 program would have and like the alumni wanted. Rather, he helped Kelly see his faults and reinvent himself. I feel like that says a lot about Jack’s character
