There's actually a role for a Tranquill-type of player now in the NFL. The tweener role is becoming very popular due to the huge shift in receiving TE's in the NFL. 10 years ago Sua Cravens wouldn't have been a first round pick. Obi Melifonwu would have fell into the late rounds instead of going in the mid second last year. Kwon Alexander playing LB in the NFL and excelling at about 225 lbs. Deone Buchanon plays a LB role for the Cardinals at 211 and is an absolute stud. Mark Barron saved his career by going into the box and excelling as an under-sized LB. Telvin Smith with Jacksonville, Lavtone David with Tampa Bay. Jaylon Smith is 223 and he's kind of alright. Myles Jack etc etc. Tranquill is going to have a lot of suitors in the NFL, his skillset is essential to playing good defense as offensives spread the ball out more.
