  1. As long as admissions preferences aren't a thing.
  2. I assume Daddy had nothing to do with ND's decision to admit her.
  3. Georgia has been exposed. Best opponents pre-Alabama had 3 losses (Kentucky & Clemson).
  4. Argument could be made that nothing happened to increase ND's stock after he left.
  5. I wonder if Kelly gets his bonuses if ND makes it to the playoff since he already bought out the contract.
  6. You really think that you can pretend like they're not coaching. Not everyone at practice and games would keep their mouth shut (e.g., a spurned recruit without an offer).
  7. Ty was just flat out lazy. He once had a student manager take one of his top recruits (Leo Ferrine 2*) to Legends where they were supposed to meet up for a meal. Ty showed up hours late, leaving the student manager in the awkward position of having to entertain the recruit.
  8. Just like coaching interns, analysts can't coach players directly. NCAA rule.
  9. Our schedule as of late has been significantly easier than previous seasons: USC: Down Stanford: Down Navy: Down Michigan: Off Schedule Don't think that it's a fair comparison. (I know that they're scheduled well in advance so you can't really attack them for it. Just stating a fact.)
  10. Even worse, he's a New England Democrat. He's going to keep tripping on rakes for a long time.
  11. Lane Kiffin? Like the Head Coach of Ole Miss Lane Kiffin? Report: USC didn’t give Lane Kiffin a ride back to campus after firing him | For The Win (usatoday.com)
  12. With the removal of the scholarship cap for the 2021 season, why not give a scholarship to a grad transfer that will automatically be gone by 2022? We might even add another transfer QB. With that said, if a freshman or sophomore QB is on par with a grad transfer at the start of the season, there is no way that Kelly would start the grad transfer. He'd give the edge to the underclassman in order to develop that QB for future seasons.
  13. That wouldn't have happened unless she was in position to make a tackle. Any guy would have been singled out on sports media for being a woman hater if he tried to do anything beyond standing in front of her on a live play.
  14. It's ironic because it would have been safer for the Big Ten and Pac-12 to have started with everyone else. Now they're gungho trying to play catch up during a spike because they're worried that they won't get into the playoffs with a 4 game schedule. They could have cancelled/PPD some of these games if they had started on time.
  15. They literally have no room for error. Scenarios like one team getting COVID, a early December blizzard leading to a marquee game cancellation or a poorly performing team like Rutgers or Maryland deciding to forfeit the rest of the season to avoid spreading COVID will put an end to their entire conference's chances of getting into the playoff. With an 8 game season, they need to play every single game in order to at least pretend that they legitimately belong. Also they'll have one "Bye Week" of a whole 11 days off before a CFP Semifinal game on Jan. 1.
  16. That 50K+ estimate was from the organizers months ago. It was only in the thousands per various media reports.
  17. The players have been given a blank check from the NFL for "community initiatives" (even though they could fund these things themselves), every aspect of the game is being tinkered with to "raise awareness" (helmet stickers, end zone paint, the "Black National Anthem", etc.) (as if removing one item will cause the message to be lost) and the sports media obsesses over every little item of groupthink that gets spouted during an interview or social media post and yet they still can't support a fleeting moment celebrating national unity. Drew Brees's apology shows that this isn't about "raising awareness".
  18. Seriously, if he's credentialed, he should be removed. Plus he went to UMass Amherst, not ND.
  19. Annapolis might actually happen this go around if there are no crowds allowed at the games because I'm sure that's Navy's preference.
  20. Draft insurance policies are only available for players projected as top two rounders. Not everyone can get that coverage. http://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/insurance/loss-value-insurance-white-paper
  21. After Jaylon Smith's injury, I am 100% OK with a player opting out of a game if it is not part of The Playoff.
