The reality of it is Saddam was the best guy to keep Iraq in check. Likewise any of these other crackpot countries. Just leave them go about their own business, we should know by now there is no book or manual on how to manage them and 'democracy' will never, ever work there.

 

If people were actually serious about invading countries trying to develop WMDs then North Korea should have been bombed to oblivion decades ago. Saddam's idea of "going about his business included invading sovereign nations and unloading key ingredients for dirty bombs on anyone who showed interest in their sale. Isis would still exist even if Saddam had been left in power---the ideology behind it was born in Syria. Isis made Iraq their 2nd home because it was destabilized and because its population was ripe for assimilation.

 

Invading North Korea? You mean the only country that legitimately possesses the firepower and blatant disregard for self-preservation to follow thru with the threat of obliterating their neighbor to the south? If we so much as even postured for such a move, the north could crush their southern neighbor (and our key ally in the south pacific) in about a couple hours. And they would do it.

Its delegate votes, not delegate count. I believe the the delegate count was 22-20

Saw the movie. WOW!!! Those guys are real heroes. Laid their lives on the line to save Americans after being told to stand down by the Obama administration. Clinton and Obama were watching live via a drone.

I am pretty indifferent about this election and unemotional and unattached to any candidate.

 

That said - when It comes to Putin and other autocrats around the world I want Hillary in the office the most. The reason people don't like her is the reason people like Putin will think twice before do something. On the world stage no one has her depth of experience. She can hit the ground running. I don't need to like her.

 

There is the fog of war but the fog of operations in Libya was even more so at the remote locations under the situation at the time. These people we not military in direct contact with military command able to direct strikes on locations.

 

In places like Yemen, Somalia, Libya, etc there is an element of risk that needs to be balanced with achieving the objective in these difficult situations.
