Liberal Student Babe Argues With Daddy

Once, there was a young teenage girl who was about to finish her first year of college. She considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat and her father was a rather staunch Republican.

 

One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to programs like welfare. He stopped her and asked her how she was doing in school.

 

She answered that she had a 4.0 GPA but it was really tough. She had to study all the time, never had time to go out and party and often went sleepless because all of the studying. She didn't have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because of all her studying.

 

He then asked how her friend Mary, who was attending the same college, was doing.

 

She replied that she was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA, never studied. Was very popular on campus and was at parties all the time. She often wouldn't show up for classes because she was hung over.

 

He then asked his daughter why she didn't go to the Dean's office and ask why she couldn't take 1.0 off her 4.0 and give it to her friend that only had a 2.0. That way they would both have a 3.0 GPA.

 

She fired back and said 'that wouldn't be fair, I worked really hard for mine and my friend has done nothing.'

 

After a moment of silence, she replied, 'I guess I will never vote Democrat again.'

I was watching a national news segment this morning on campaignn finance reform, they said over 35% of all donations come from lawyers...and 83% of that goes to the democrats

 

also YouTube search for detroit in ruins... That should illustrate how\ why the democratic party should be publicly questioned in terms of their effectiveness in creating a state/federally dependant economy...

 

Another interesting statistic. The UAW contributes exclusively to the democratic party.

 

If we can break the unions, create more esops, create a health care program where pre existing conditions are not excluded and those financial losses are partially written off by the government on a tax forgiveness basis, cap corporate contributions at 20k and establish a free 2 year college for in state residents, create a national tax forgiveness to move all offshore accounts back into us banks and holding companies, eliminate the property tax, increase the use of American oil reserves, eliminate the presence of the us military in the mid east and replace it with special forces and invest into the building of schools and hospitals...

 

I figure if we can get that done the world would be a more perfect place...

Just love how it's corporations that get blamed but not lawyers and politicians. I get my groceries, clothes, cars, TVs, computers, office supplies, and just about every good or service from a corporation.

 

What do lawyers and politicians do? Just take money away from people and corporations who have earned that money by providing a good or service.

 

Politicians and most attorneys are nothing but parasites to our economy.

Seriously? The exploitation of victims to change the subject? Liberals do nothing but exploit victims to justify their policies.

 

How many times have you heard "it's for the poor," "the children," "the most needy," etc., etc.? Meanwhile Congress votes for their own pay raise that they fund with other people's money.

I liked the libertarian candidate for governor in Indiana. He wanted to abolish property taxes. I agree. The government shouldn't have the power to take your home from you if you can't pay the taxes. What happens to a widow who falls upon hard times and gets behind in her home property taxes? The government can kick her out and confiscate the property for a tax sale even though the house was paid off over 30 years from the blood, sweat and tears of the deceased husband. That should never happen in America. Private property is one of the inalienable rights. And the goal of every socialist and Marxist is to do away with that right and make everything publicly-owned by the few annointed liberal elites. This is what we are fighting against in this country.

 

There is only one party that is for low taxes and one that is for higher and higher taxes.

Do you ever post thoughts that are your own? I'm not trying to be an ass, and I know I'm coming off as one. But still. You never answer questions. You never add your own reason for your opinions. You just state opinions.

 

Here is an example. Haliburton getting No-Bid contracts from the VP that used to be their CEO. Oil prices going through the roof while an ex oil man is the sitting Pres.

 

There are just 2 examples of corporations hijacking parties. We can also talk about unions with the Democrats. Do you have anything to prove otherwise or will you just hide behind your excuses to not answer questions? Anyone can copy and paste someone else's opinion.

I didn't say republicans (of which I am not) never raise taxes, but for sure it's the only solution to every problem if one is a democrat. Raising taxes is in the DNA of a liberal democrat.

This doesn't prove your thesis at all. You are jumping to conclusions. You have no proof of any wrongdoing. If there was any evidence and a law was violated, these folks would be in jail.

I don't think you answer Q's in your own way. I think you run away from Q's you don't have an answer for.

 

BTW, I'm as middle of the road as they come. I support some of the Liberal agenda and I support some of the Conservative agenda. There just isn't a party that my beliefs, as a whole, fall in line with. So I'm always looking at people's reasons and their examples. Without those, people come off as uneducated and ignorant. At least have a reason why you believe something.
