That list is long for the is weeks game for those who will be visiting. I hope the staff can do an amazing job at juggling and beat OSU

Who is your number 1 guy this week that has to step up? No polls. Pick your guy and tell us why. Mine. Riley Mills. Tired of the talk. He’s a big guy. This line needs an anchor and someone to look to to provide pressure and that guy when they need a stop. Mills I’m looking at you. Show the world who you are! Statement game. If you want that dollar next year in the draft this is the time to do it!

week 4 Game Thread - #9 Notre Dame vs #6 Ohio State (9/23/23)
coltssb replied to Mike's topic in Notre Dame Football
frig Ohio State. Watched two beat down of my Irish by them and they are the worst ducking fan base I’ve been around. Absolutely despise them. As Jessie said, let’s beat them in my lifetime. Their message board is pretty much sold that Ohio State has already won this game. I have to believe Freeman will have these guys Laser focused. Nothing like beating your former team. The one caveat is I still have issues with this team on certain issues. O-line blocking. They’ll have a way better defense than anything we have seen this season. Those guys need to be pissed off and ready to play. So if somebody has to smack them in the ear hole to get them going-do it! We get gashed right up the middle. Hoping Rubio can be ready to play. They need size desperately. Our receivers are still not getting open or the gameplay was trying to get chunk plays against C. Michigan. Because that game looked like Boom was out there long for guys and then trying to make something happen. I’m assuming Parker will have a different style of calling plays this week. Better have a drop off and some misdirection plays ready. Staes, the running backs and Evans better be ready with a lunch pale. Ohio State has been beat badly by being gashed up the middle running the ball. Michigan stuck with it and eventually it worked. Need Hartman to be a tough sob on some downs. So f’in hyped for this game. -
I’m surprised people think Florida/Tennessee will be a good game. Florida is bad. And will be bad this whole year. I’ll be interested in Miss St. vs LSU. S.Carolina vs Georgia and Mich St. Vs Washington. Those sound more appealing than watching Mertz(who’s actually played well this season) and Florida.

What are you looking for against Central Michigan
coltssb replied to InLikeFlynn's topic in Notre Dame Football
I think it was probably two months ago. I got a email from Peacock giving me a year subscription for on 5.99. I did it knowing I’d be watching ND football soon. I don’t remember the code but maybe they still have that discount. Also, I don’t have cable but stream. Not sure if it’s my internet(which I don’t have any trouble with with any other apps) but Peacock tends to keep freezing and replaying every minute. That really is frustrating. Maybe that won’t happen to you. -

Also, Ohio States offense has not been great. Their qb situation is still very shaky. People are used to them put up video game numbers and McCord doesn’t seem to be doing that. Great for ND, IF they can get a pass rush.
-
Do you know the details? I’ve listened to about three different segments on Sirius and they all said the same thing. He said something to this woman, Armstrong I believe her name is, and she filed a complaint.
-
I’m indifferent on Rees. The fact that ND did decent last year with an oline that couldn’t block anyone the first three games, Pyne as a qb, and one receiver. I’m still astonished how they win 9 games honestly. But, at the same time, he ran a lot of Kelly’s playbook imo. I think it limited him on being a better OC. However, I think he’ll be fine in the future with a different coach.

What are you Looking for Against NC State?
coltssb replied to InLikeFlynn's topic in Notre Dame Football
Oline play, can’t they truly block? Hartman was put on his back 4 different times that I remember. The offense completely sputtered until late in the third when the defense had two picks to set up the offense. No go to #1 receiver still. Zero pass rush. Harper was picked on all game. He’s supposed to be our Nickel corner. liafau still takes bad angles. slow developing plays with Estime will not work. If this was Ohio State I’m not sure ND scores a td honestly. Sire there was some good. But as a coach I would have a ton to examine tomorrow -

You wanted a boring head scratching game that didn’t really tell us anything about where this team is offensively or defensively? Call me crazy but this is not the game I wanted. Adversity sure…but lots more questions then answers now -
week 2 Game Thread - #10 Notre Dame at NC State (9/9/23)
coltssb replied to Mike's topic in Notre Dame Football
Guys trying have the mlb package and paying for it but getting blackout for games. That’s horseshit. If I pay then I should never be blacked out. Anyways. Glad this game is over. One of those games that I’ll never watch again. Took till the third to really do anything. Bad call, sloppy play. Need to button up a lot. -

Crazy to think Clemson had a blocked field goal, a missed field goal, two fumbles inside the ten(one on the two) and still only lost by 21. This game could have been closer or the other way. Just sloppy terrible offense from Clemson.
-
Crazy watching that game and seeing the biggest issues with LSU is what we’re the issues with ND. Cant run against good teams. 2nd year qb regression. Qb looks one read takes off and runs. Kelly throws player under bus zero half time adjustments. Go for it twice on fourth and don’t get it. Run stuffed and qb sacked. I could go. This loss puts a smile on my face. As I’ve said in the past, ND would been fine after the 2016 season if it fired Kelly. Keeping him just prolonged my misery in big games.

Again, no targeting. Went for the ball which the qb was carrying around like a loaf of bread. He went for the ball. The qb saw Carter at the last second and lowered”his” head. Terrible call -
