  1. Seriously. That’s all I keep seeing with Love. Watters lined up wide quite a bit under Holtz too.
  2. Just my opinion. Back in my day you were taught eyes up/chin up and go through the ball carrier with your arms. If your guy goes low you go lower. That’s what it looked like to me. Reason why I say it wasn’t targeting…when you lead with your head usually you go forward and the ball carrier goes backwards. The tackler that “targeted” flew backwards with Ford laying on him. Hence, he maybe tried to let up or get lower but was surprised that he was lower or stronger. Anyways,..just my thought on it.
  3. I thought I saw 50 kind of blow it at least once. I’m worried about our guards.
  4. Ok game in hand. The real question who is stronger. Freeman OR George?
  5. Nah. No targeting. The guy kept his chin up and even got pushed back. Bang bang play.
  6. Surprised by Colorado so far. But I’m not too surprised knowing how much TCU’s defense sucked last year. Edwards is killing me. But ND’s running back room is loaded. lastly, how does Deion get get any of his db’s to tackle. He would have a hard time showing any film of himself sticking his nose in there to make a play. great game so far
  7. Just rewatched most of the game. That JD recovery was absolutely ND’s ball. In no way did Navy ever have possession of that ball. It was a clear fumble and JD recovered. That was a bad call there.
  8. Penn State needs a big victory. Lots of hype and haven’t really done much when it comes to Michigan and Ohio State. Curious how they look
  9. I just need you to be a speed bump with that group. Hold the attack.
  10. You and I could be on that line and be successful with that group
  11. How about a line from Lt to Rt of Alt, Nelson, Heggie, Martin, Stanley?
  12. Really cheating here. S- Harrison Smith the guys been All-Pro for how many years? LB- JOK - you don’t turn away a Butkus finalist (he didn’t win it, right?) DL- Romeo Okawra - Foskey disappeared a lot Okawra presented pressure constantly even if he didn’t get the sack. Maybe even Hinish because he was a load and this team needs that type of guy and size Screw it Hinish and the lunch pale
  13. Wait. You mean to tell me there wasn’t a false start at the beginning of the game? I sure do miss those..
  14. I’m just taking a wild guess and thinking that they didn’t care about Navy throwing and wanted to preserve(keep guys fresh) for future opponents. I think we’ll see more done and nickel coverage once ND plays Ohio State and probably NC State. Wasn’t Harper coming back from a shoulder injury? Maybe the need to thrust him into a hit first role against Navy wasn’t needed. Lastly, it looks like this defense is going to be prepared to play all types of exotic looks and fronts. We may never see the same defense weekly- 4-4-3, to 4-3-4, 5-1-5. And so in.
  15. Tobias with a bomb td. Showing confidence. Angeli getting a few first team reps. Just a series in the second quarter. Mills with a dominant Pass rush along with Bortello. Want to see that line get nasty and those two need to show it. Nice catch by Staes. Tyree with a (circle button) juke move that gets the crowd on their feet. Estime with a Ray Zellers against Purdue type run.
  16. Simple explanation. Two plays… The side step of the Navy defender and the perfect pass to Greathouse for the TD- Coan would have been sacked. Book would have ran around for five minutes trying to find anybody but can’t read a defense so he runs it himself for 10 yds. Navy blitzes the A gap on third down but Hartman(I believe checks out of it) checks down to Estime for a 17 yard gain and a first down. Coan again gets sacked. Book May escape for a qb run or he will attempt to throw to Estime. Only to get it knocked down. Either way, the guy that holds multiple ACC records, multiple starts, made Wake relevant for Wake, knows how to run an RPO, can read a defense, has seen just about anything a college defense will throw at him. He’s Peyton Manning with the Broncos. Smart, Savy, unflappable, with just enough arm strength to get the job done.
  17. Great first half. Would love to see Angeli and Ford finish this game out. Keep those starters fresh and prepared for Ohio State.
  18. I agree. AND, the rules are making for Navy to cut block and cheap shot like in the past. This will and better be a cupcake game this year.
  19. Ken Niu….I understand but there were times on the sidelines and press conferences where I thought he came off as a “dik.” Just my opinion. Dick Vermil always seemed like a good dude. Mack Brown as he has gotten older seems to have that charm. Chris Peterson seemed genuine. Always liked the Pirate.
  20. Aaaahh Mr Crowley. What they done to your head?
