Oh I sometimes crave for the meat helmets to come back. But seriously, I just watched a game with ND vs Michigan where Lou, as much he says differently, played for a tie at the end of the game. I believe it was 7-7 or something like that. Two hours of just meh really. That was the hey day?

I have watched quite a few of these recently(before these suggestions). Two thoughts. 1. Man, I feel sorry for us ND fans. These are our options? 8 games or so? 2. On the first point. A lot of these games are so long ago now. Which is also sad. They also aren’t as great as I remember. A lot if three yards here and low scoring games that when you rewatch them aren’t just kinda blah to me. “The Snow Bowl” as an example. Not a lot of excitement. I know they were great at the time but they haven’t aged real well. ND needs to get their shyt together this century.

I’m not even just talking about USC. I’m talking about that 8-5 record. ND won 9 games with Drew Pyne as its qb. Now they are going to win one less with a better proven qb? Also, Freeman at least has shown that he can get his team up for some big games(Clemson, Ohio State). I’m sure they could pick off one of USC, NC State, Ohio State, or Clemson.

The drought is over in Cali. Why the pessimism?

I am not indicator of getting guys fired but I do remember the Ohio State boards almost happy that Washington was leaving. At the time I thought sour grapes. I’m starting to pause on that notion. Let’s just hope development is there with these upside projections ND has.

Oh I have. But it’s getting crazier on how kids are trying to come up with money. Jbrown nobody wants to look at your dirty sandaled feet…:) Anyways, back on topic. Is Ziegler still a take? Heard rumors that some aren’t all in agreement. Who knows if that’s true.

You know what’s crazy. I was shopping with my wife our little girl at Target recently and three highschool boys approach us randomly and ask can we sing for you guys. Then they name three types of genres to choose from. But before they sing they would like for us to “tip them”. Haha. They had a card reader on their phone ready to sing and get paid. I said, get the f out of here. But yes, the way people are making money today is crazy insane and weird.

I know what you’re saying. But NIL really is a big player. You have dad’s and uncles in closed rooms asking about money up front. Far cry from even when Kelly was heat two years ago. If not for NIL, ND probably has Keeley and Moore last year. That’s not on effort, that’s on NIL. As for Scott…just because you go to a Catholic highschool doesn’t mean you follow anything that is associated with the at highschool. Lots of those schools recruits kids and those kids go there for that reason. Not because they are a Midwest Catholic. Lots of falsities nowadays. The best ND can do nowadays is have an amazing presentation about FUND and what a four year ND degree can set you up with in the future. They also need for the NCAA and the states to figure out this NIL so there is some type of order. So let’s pray that Freeman and company are amazing salesmen and enjoy that process of it. Or ND is going to be a sinking ship..

Yeah Oregon dupes ND again... The thing I keep wondering. If that is your deciding factor why even get ND involved? It’s not like ND has come out and given recruits the idea that we will just unload gobs of cash at a drop of a hat. Maybe I’m wrong….I just haven’t heard of it yet.

A little thought. I see ND getting payback on that biotch Williams. I do. Clemson may want payback from last year. So I could see maybe a loss depending on Klubnik. But Hartman should still be able to outplay him. So we will see. Ohio State all depends on how many ND fans sell their tickets and does ND lose home field advantage. I went on stubhub or some crap and saw some really crap seats for some really high prices. Couple the fact I live in Scottsdale, AZ getting a hotel flight etc probably seems out of the question. So I hope my brothers step up! As Teun said, I really wish we got them the first game. The same way we did for them by going their breaking in a new qb. But I’m sure they cried about it and would only accept a home and home if it was later for them coming to ND. I’m really interested in seeing how ND looks this year. I hope they don’t just go all pass happy with Hartman. They had a true identity last year and if they have championship aspirations then they better stick to the run game. That’s how they smashed Clemson. That’s how they kept is close with Ohio State(albeit a loss) but that’s the way Michigan has rolled them. But gashing them with the run. If ND wants to win that’s what they need to do.

Love it! They really should be able to do that to Ohio State too. Michigan had run on them at will the past two years. No reason ND can’t when Clemson had a much better defense then anything Ohio State will put out there this year. The only problem I see is Ohio State and the sea of red that will invade ND stadium. It’s going to happen. They travel well and they are willing to mortgage their houses just to see this game. Still my prediction. F it. 12-0. All in. My chips are on the table.

In zero way am I person to judge talent. But my eyes tell me this about Scott. Sure I’d love to have him and his size. But from his film, he reminds me of a dline men that I used to play high school football with…. Anyways, looks like he has an advantage on every one he plays and basically just bullies them with a quick first step and bull rush. But if the play isn’t there he kinda jogs to the ball carrier when it goes to the sideline. Be curious as you said what he would do at other camps with guys equally as strong as him where he can’t just bull rush them.

Yeah I was duped by a click website. I read it and was pissed. Then I went searching at another website and Central Michigan is the only exclusive one on Peacock. The one I read had Peacock next to the schedule without any NBC next to it. So it looked like all were exclusively on Peacock. Disregard…

Maybe I’m missing something here….anyways, another Peacock thread. Looks like a lot of ND’s big games will be on Peacock this year. I get it. ND fans have been blessed with able to watch ND games basically for free on NBC for many years. But what chaps my ass is this. So the b10 takes over ND’s spot of Saturday games where ND fans now have to pay for their big games and have to watch shitty b10 games in what used to be their slot. Good luck NBC with your viewership in broadcasting Rutgers and Purdue this year.

So just sounds like ND may be leading or knowing they have another kid possibly locked up and let the young kid know that he may not be in the two deep if he decides to join. Or this kid saw the writing in the wall. Either way, good on both if communication was truly involved here. Let’s hope this means good news is coming in the future…

Oh I agree with that. Besides some Rocket and Zorich type guys ND’s talent is as close to being where it was back then that I can remember. They are just missing explosive guys at certain positions at this point.

It is interesting but considering the connections I guess not that interesting. Rees/Buchner, Diggs/Kelly, and Styles with his brother. I'd be more interested in if there was any tampering involved.
