I don’t know man. Saban will be 72. A guaranteed championship may not be in the cards anymore. He’s gone three years without a championship. That league is deeper and talent is more spread out. It’s also his longest drought since taken over for Bama and winning a championship between years since he first won one there.
He also lost his two best playmakers on offense in Young and Gibbs. Which is surprising Rees would go there knowing they aren’t as loaded as years past. Or at least as experienced. He also lost his best defensive player in Anderson. And Bama’s schedule finally looks somewhat decent although they play all their big games in Tuscaloosa. Ewers is going to get him in the second week- I’m calling it.
As for the easy way, yes he is taking that. Going to ND would have been the harder way. Academics, less talent surrounding you, making a name for yourself. He’ll go to Bama and be lost in Bama’s multiple talented names they’ve had over the years because it’s already been done there. Nothing special. Most can’t even remember most of the guys Bama’s had over the years because they’ve had so many. One thing I can tell you, he won’t be singing in the Crimson choir when he’s there. As for the NFL, again, if you are good enough you’ll make it to the NFL at whichever school you choose.
