  1. I don’t know man. Saban will be 72. A guaranteed championship may not be in the cards anymore. He’s gone three years without a championship. That league is deeper and talent is more spread out. It’s also his longest drought since taken over for Bama and winning a championship between years since he first won one there. He also lost his two best playmakers on offense in Young and Gibbs. Which is surprising Rees would go there knowing they aren’t as loaded as years past. Or at least as experienced. He also lost his best defensive player in Anderson. And Bama’s schedule finally looks somewhat decent although they play all their big games in Tuscaloosa. Ewers is going to get him in the second week- I’m calling it. As for the easy way, yes he is taking that. Going to ND would have been the harder way. Academics, less talent surrounding you, making a name for yourself. He’ll go to Bama and be lost in Bama’s multiple talented names they’ve had over the years because it’s already been done there. Nothing special. Most can’t even remember most of the guys Bama’s had over the years because they’ve had so many. One thing I can tell you, he won’t be singing in the Crimson choir when he’s there. As for the NFL, again, if you are good enough you’ll make it to the NFL at whichever school you choose.
  2. Grubbs just told Saban no and has said he came back for his guys that returned to Washington. He’s not leaving. Moorehead, eh. Doesn’t excite me. Ill have to think about who does..
  3. Some thought he was gone last year. But you’re right, if he would have stayed he was for sure gone next year. Like you, I’m indifferent. I couldn’t care one way or the other. He wasn’t a great recruiter. He was still learning on the job. He called some good games and he called some terrible games. I’d love for ND to get someone with some experience so Freeman doesn’t have to babysit the next OC.
  4. I think we all can agree. Let’s just hope Rees forces Saban into retirement with his playcalling.
  5. Because he didn’t take the job to go when BK asked him and was willing to pay him more. Maybe not hate. But it’s always nice to stick it to your old boss.
  6. Stop. It was about money. I don’t give two shyts about if he sings in the choir. If he wanted that life he would have chose that life. He wanted money and he wanted to in the Will Anderson category. The problem isn’t that ND can’t produce 1st rounders like Bama-which is what I’m sure these guys are thinking or being told. It’s that Bama has been in the top two recruiting cycles for the last 11 years. They are flooded with these guys. If you’re good you’re good. It doesn’t matter where you go. Khalil Mack as an example. So he took the easy way out in Bama and the money. Everything else about choir boy bs is just that. That era of what an ND kid is over.
  7. I don’t think people are really thinking here. Maybe a Rees wants the job so he can stick it to Kelly every year?
  8. Two things. 1. This is Saban's 5th choice now. Or something like this. 2. Why would anybody want to subject themselves to Saban's bitching. He was close to going to the Rams last year. He is already on the eyes of a few. Going to Bama isn't going to open more eyes. But hey, it's whatever he wants. Take the yelling and better athletes in hopes of getting the same job you would eventually get at ND. Or stay at your alma mater and still get the job you were looking at but with less yelling and a little less talent. Seems easy to me. Especially if the money is the same.
  9. From a first glance the only changes I can see is Cross starting over Rubio. LB’s will be the same as last year. You would have three returning seniors. Those other guys will get more playing time this year. But I can’t see both starting. Maybe one. Not two.
  10. Absolutely. Wasn’t he the leading tackler for ND the past two seasons? No way he isn’t starting. Just a fact.
  11. agreed. not sure who was in charge of the lb's Laurinitis, Golden, Freeman, whoever. they were missing something.
  12. Is it real? Heard Addison was not happy with USC and that “guaranteed” money. Also, heard they aren’t as invested in NIL yet. Just rumors though.
  13. I agree. But was something else going on? Grades? Money? Something seemed very weird here.
  14. It’s about damn time. My friend and I were going over our all- ND team and we were discussing ND’s linebackers. Which to us, we’re the hardest to gauge. Stonebreaker came up. Then we looked at his stats. All-American award and what he’s accomplished. He was a no brainer at that point.
  15. He’s gaining weight and looks like he still could gain another 40 lbs easily. My guess would be strong side DE. I’m sure dad could teach him some moves and technique too.
  16. Wiltfong, Loy, and Sinclaire cb’d him to ND. I like it! But won’t get too high any recruits anymore. Talk to me once there career is over at ND.
  17. As I said, should of let this one go. Something's up. I'd wager his time as Wisky will be short lived.
