Why would we? Cuz he's a pretty talented OL. Which is why the ND staff recently had conversations with the kid. For the same reason that Springman and/or Carrico may eventually be moved to the OL. 3 OL in one class does not close out an OL class. Sorry but I found that to be a silly question.

In Berk's defense he never said that ND was getting a commit. He said we COULD get a commit. Personally, I think it was Shuler or French.

IT, no cheap shot intended. Just a legit question. Your original wording had me thinking that there was substance to it and that you knew something. The Facebook commented made me question the source of the information. I do not think that is out of line or a cheap shot, just a question.

Hey everyone. I just heard from my buddy, foreverirish, and thought I would take the opportunity to poke my head into the DD and say hello to the rest of my buddies over here. I hope everyone is doing well and best wishes on a great new year for you and your families. It's amazing what winning will do for a program. Our Irish are riding some bigtime momentum and I think for the first time in many years we will have a very strong close to this recruiting class. The tides have turned for our Irish. I have no inside info on this but here are some thoughts I have on recruiting. IMO I think that Lynch is already committed to ND. His only job is getting through the outside pressures that he will have to deal with this week until he jumps onto that plain headed to SB. Ishaq is impossible to predict at this time without any inside info. Carlisle should be Irish on Saturday. Assuming we land Lynch and Tuitt that still leaves 3 DL candidates among Scarlett, Niklich and Hounshell. Personally, I think we will land one of those remaining 3 to go with Lynch, Tuitt, Springman and Carrico. I'm expecting to land a surprise commit by NSD. Our staff has done an unbelievable job of recruiting this year, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Big kudos to Brian Kelly and his staff. One suggestion, please give Tony Alford a very healthy raise. He is easily the best recruitor that I have witnessed at ND.

No matter how you want to shake it, losing Barr is a big deal. He is a big time talent who can help at many positions. Lueders is not lost yet. IMO, he stays at ND. I believe his concern is how does he fit in our defensive scheme. Losing Barr creates no negative reflection on Kelly's recruiting ability. None. Kelly has done an amazing job in this short, difficult period of time.

I have no doubt that we will soon be a top 10 team in '09 and push up from there. This team is ready to roll. I just hope they learned to keep pushing forward when they have a team down. IMO, that was their biggest problem last year. They didn't knock a team out when they had them backed up against the ropes. They let them back in. We lost 3 games that we were up by 2 scores in the second half last year.

I just wanted to take a minute and say hello to my friends on the DD. I've been a way from the DD for some time now but I will be back eventually. Things are going extremely good. Recently expanded my business and just getting my hands around that. Not enough hours in the day. But I will have enough time in my scheudle to make every single Notre Dame home game, plus the San Antonio game. Hope to see my DD friends there. I'm calling for big things from our Irish this year. Go Irish!!!
