  1. Te'o--SC Moore--ND Starling--ND Thigpen--UCLA
  2. Come on, let's face reality. This 2009 class is the class coming of the 2-9 season. If we end up top 25 than I am satisfied. We added some good talent and solidified special teams for years to come--hopefully. We can't expect a top 5 class following a 3-9 season. It doesn't happen.
  3. After watching Thigpen's videos, there is absolutely no way in the world I would pass this guy up. Big time speed and quickness. Who cares how tall he is. The guy is lighting quick and we desperately need more of those guys.
  4. Charlie has told recruits that he is taking 3 WR's in the 2010 class. now, did he tell them that before or after Oliver chose to visit Tennessee?
  5. I'm not soo sure that Daniel Smith did receive an offer from Notre Dame today. Personally, I would be shocked if he did. Tai-ler Jones and Prater did.
  6. For a moment, you took me back to HS math classes Calves.
  7. Simply a guess but I am putting 80% Irish on Moore And I'll play the game and do the same with the remaining recruits: Te'o 35% Starling 50% + Gaffney 20% -
  8. Let's not forget that right now we are a top 20 class for a recruiting class that is the one coming off of a 3-9 season.
  9. Already, I have to admit. What does the cosign mean?
  10. save me the math, what is the NSD date?
  11. Overstatement of the day! We look very good with Starling and just jumped up to the big chair with Byron Moore. We still have a decent shot with Tyler Gaffney and the writer that had Byron Moore's quotes also stated that we probably lead for Teo (along with Starling). I have to say that even though I feel that the Te'o race is us and BYU, I didn't not expect to see us as the leader. Granted, it's only the opinion of a writer. That doesn't sound like falling apart to me. Just the opposite, we actually have some very positive events occurring going into the home stretch. one of those being that we quite possibly might be taking a 4 star safety from our biggest rival. Not that I want to lose him but Oliver was not exactly the marquee name in this class. And don't downplay the 2 kickers and longsnapper. Many games have been lost in those 3 categories. We are probably set at those spots for the next 4 years. But we will see.
  12. We've already had the BS snowball throwing incident, which was a total garbage act by our student body. I was embarrassed watching that! I don't think I have ever been embarrassed by an ND fan, until that incident. I sure hope they don't start booing the team, snowballs were more than enough!
  13. agreed. The rumors are just a bunch of BS. I think the plan is pretty simple. ND will feel out some top of the line coaches, if there is mutual interest than ND will quietly go forward with that. If no interest in TOP coaches than CW will be the coach in 2009. As for top coaches I would say the likes of Urban Meyer, Gruden and Stoops. In being realistic, remove Stoops from that list. But Meyer and Gruden are both realistic. Butch Davis could also be thrown into that mix. IMO, Stoops is the best coach in the nation.
  14. The understanding is that Moore is coming due to his respect for Evans.
  15. Why is it definitely not Nick Alajajanian (sp?)? I would absolutely not consider Halipo an "on the radar" guy. I believe that Florida was only speculated, I don't believe it was ever a clue.
  16. Sorry, nothing other than what has been said. Let's remember that we have a former teammate of his on our current team, I think Gary Gray.
  17. As I sit here in NW Indiana, I really hope all this snow goes away before Saturday.
  18. On the field--No. In recruiting--big time.
  19. "If they are interested than we are interested"
  20. Come on, let's be realistic. That is college football. These kids all have soo much to learn when they get here. We can all provide you endless examples of guys who had to learn to play when they got to college. Recent example is Golden Tate, he was not a WR in HS. That worked out pretty good--and very quickly. Brian Smith transitioned to the MLB pretty well--and very quickly. Every team has "projects" on their roster, due to the upside of that particular player. It's not like the kid has to learn how to play football, simple get more experience playing the game especially at his position.
  21. OSU. plus enough letters to get to 10 for my post.
  22. Agree 100%. Jimmy had to deal with, now lets see how Barkley handles it. You gotta stand tall when you are #1. Besides, they come after you harder when you are standing on that pedastel.
  23. only an opinion, but i think that shaq is all ND.
