  1. Is ND as attractive to transfer WRs without Leonard at QB in 2024? Let's at least wait until Carr enrolls before we heap huge amounts of expectations on him.
  2. Agreed. It cost my daughter $100 to get a letter from a doctor that she needed an emotional support animal so she could bring her dog on planes. Filled a survey out online, paid her $100, got the letter.
  3. Might be different if his two OT were playing along with his starting WRs and RB (not sure if Estime is sitting out or not). But at this point, not sure that the bowl game will give him meaningful 'tape' for the NFL scouts.
  4. Was in the transfer portal thread but KVA liked a Ohio St related tweet. Just a little bit more of "smoke" regarding his recruitment.
  5. Hard to go wrong with a intel i7 laptop with 16 GB of member and at least a 256 SSD running Windows for non-gaming usage. Nothing too fancy and should be usable for awhile. Probably find them for less than $800 from Best Buy, Costco, etc. You can bump the CPU down to a AMD or Intel i5 if you want to save some $$$.
  6. Bertrand is someone who can benefit from training for the combine between now and then. His tape is pretty extensive. One more game will not change anything but dropping a tenth of a second in the 40 might be worth seven figures
  7. Highly unlikely but you could argue that (at least at this point in time), Ty has a shot of winning two NCs in two different sports.
  8. Should ND win vs Clemson, they should move up at least two spots due to other ranked teams above #15 playing each other. Hopefully Michigan will lose a couple since their DC and OC will need to remember how to call a game without knowing what play the other team is running.
  9. @jmfinsd Do you mean a transfer successful in the past or someone available for 2024?
  10. 193 My answer why IQs started to decrease in the 1970's (per Norway study) In 1950 only 9 percent of American households had a television set, but by 1960 the figure had reached 90 percent. Might have taken a little longer to get TVs throughout Norway but I am convinced that watching TV (other than ND football) is bad for your brain...
  11. To be fair, the offense was good early this season. Opponents were weaker and teams did not have a 'book' on Parker. Once opposing defenses started routinely pressuring the three interior OL and things imploded offensively for the Irish, Parker did not have a good counter. IMO, this is a sign of inexperience. Hopefully, the bye week will give Parker and team an opportunity to regroup. My guess is that Freeman will retain Parker for another year. 1) Just like the D last year, the offense should improve in the second half (easier opponents except for Clemson and potentially the bowl game plus WRs should be healthier. 2) I think he will want to give Parker (and Rudolph) a full off season to have an impact. It would be great if ND could hire a seasoned analyst to give Parker someone to lean on. Someone with years of experience as a play caller as a type of mentor.
  12. When Freeman was DC under Kelly, he basically took over as recruiting coordinator for defense and some offensive ND assistants talked about how they felt they needed to step up their recruiting due to the example Freeman was setting. (sad but telling that it was Freeman not Kelly who was the catalyst for improvement)
  13. The biggest reason to give Freeman time is that he works tirelessly on recruiting. IMO, multi seven figure recruiting budgets and NIL seem to have concentrated talent even more in the Top 10 teams. Thankfully, ND has been able to stay close with Freeman. If Kelly had still been at ND, I think that he would have had classes closer to #20 instead of #10 and the Irish would be slipping away from being able to contend. As it is now, the Irish have talent to compete this year with the Ohio States and Southern Cals with the younger classes being thought to have better physical skills than the upper classmen.
  14. Six crystal balls for Davis Andrews to pick Utah were put in last night. Still have two years before he comes back from his mission but it seems that he will be a Ute https://247sports.com/playerinstitution/davis-andrews-at-american-fork-277737/currentexpertpredictions/
  15. Earlier this year, I was looking at NFL injuries and it seemed that there were a ton of WRs with hamstring issues.
  16. The brother plays OT and is a Top 30 recruit in the class of 2026. Hopefully ND can impress both.
  17. Some luck is involved for any NC. Injuries (or lack of them), turn-overs in key games, etc. If ND played Kansas St in 2012, there is a good chance that the Irish might have won that NC while Alabama was left out in the cold. But it didn't happen... For me, I would rather get into the CFP than not. Even if the results are not pretty. So I root for the Irish to make it in the top 4.
  18. I'm rooting for Clemson since it will help ND in two ways: 1) Team above ND loses and 2) Helps ND's strength of schedule (assuming ND beats Clemson) Likewise, I want Iowa to win to hurt Penn St. since they are above ND in the rankings It would probably be better for Southern Cal to win so that they have a better record when they play ND but I am always happy to see the Trojans lose.
  19. How times have changed. Hard to believe that an OL weighing 280 pounds probably needs to add 35+ pounds to be able to play in college.
  20. I am hoping that there are some wrinkles on both O and D which have been practiced but not used in games yet.
