  1. Great story and yet another well spoken Irish football player
  2. Funny how she asked if he really had to wear his helmet when he was on the field... 🙂
  3. Battle with Georgia and Alabama or has someone else entered into the mix?
  4. We're all guilty of enabling the football players in making money. I'm not logging in every day to see how Notre Dame's debate team's recruiting is going. But football is a different story and others with same interest but more disposable income are funding NIL deals.
  5. Btw, my wife has let me know that's she going to be rooting for the Irish to punt a lot this season...
  6. For me, it provides a "legal" method for ND to capitalize on its pool of wealthy alums to compete for talent as opposed to losing to the bagmen of yesterday
  7. My point was that you don't have to really care about balancing numbers at a position for pwos unlike managing the 85 scholarships.
  8. Just getting Big's list on the last page since it's a great write-up.
  9. The lifetime economic impact of an ND degree compared to one from a school like Central Michigan is also a factor for PWOs. Now throw some NIL money into the mix to help with tuition and PWO at ND more attractive than it was 5 years ago.
  10. Committed player from Florida flying across the country to visit Stanford in May means something IMO. i.e. it's not like he is going there to see a big game.
  11. I just noticed that Steve Wiltfong went from 247 to On3. I guess it happened about a month ago
  12. Made more money via NIL last year than the NFL this year: “The Commanders gave former Notre Dame QB Sam Hartman one of the biggest guarantees among undrafted free agents: a $20,000 signing bonus and $225,000 base salary guarantee. A sign Hartman is in Washington’s plans for 2024.”
  13. I noticed that Meadows, Taylor and other recruits run track. Is it my imagination or is there a higher percent of Irish recruits running track in the current (2025 and 2026) classes than we saw before?
  14. Good to see Freeman and ND deciding to battle Georgia and Alabama for recruits rather than being happy to go shopping down a different aisle...
  15. Thee seemed to be a number of people who were upbeat about Liufau. It will be interesting to see how his game translates to the NFL.
  16. I was also surprised not to see any Irish jump into the portal. Maybe Freeman is having 1-on-1 player meetings this week and players are waiting until after that.
  17. Also two minute warnings each half https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39976083/ncaa-approves-helmet-communications-fbs-games
  18. No idea if they want to but could Anderson or Thurman play other positions?
  19. OL from today's (3/20) practice reports: https://www.si.com/college/notredame/football/notre-dame-football-spring-practice-report-march-20 I an guessing that RG and RT might see the most competition between now and the first game. *** The first team offensive line left to right: LT Charles Jagusah LG Pat Coogan C Ashton Craig RG Billy Schrauth RT Tosh Baker *** The second team left to right: LT Sullivan Absher LG Sam Pendleton C Joe Otting RG Rocco Spindler RT Aamil Wagner
  20. Had ND beat Ohio St, then ND's following games might have seen more viewers and Ohio St might have less viewers since the Irish would have been a Top 5 team and the Buckeyes would have dropped.
  21. I like that if the Irish make the CFP, they get another $6M which puts them in the SEC/Big 10 territory money-wise. BTW, only independents get that $6M bump. I think it was a away of saying that ND could get SEC/Big 10 if they proved they belonged. Probably the best ND could expect given the voting numbers.
