  1. Might be a little tougher to run up the middle vs. the Tigers. Their NG is 380 pounds. https://www.si.com/college/notredame/football/tennessee-state-depth-chart-vs-notre-dame
  2. The linked report has Drayk Bowen and Jaiden Ausberry as playing. It might be on special teams instead of on defense but it appears that they were in the game. https://fightingirish.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/2023-NDFB-vs-Navy-Full-Book.pdf
  3. Imagine Alt and Q next to each other...
  4. Evidence seems to suggest that Stuckey was the main reason that Greathouse choose ND. https://www.si.com/college/notredame/recruiting/notre-dame-football-recruiting-jaden-greathouse-chansi-stuckey-championships
  5. Or the need to call a time-out to avoid a delay of game penalty before the first play.
  6. Besides no major injuries (which I had listed earlier), another thing that I was glad to see was that the Irish came across as a well organized team. New QB and new OC yet there really wasn't chaos in terms of getting plays called, audibles, etc. Nobody that I remember running onto or off the field at the last second because players weren't sure if they were supposed to be on the field or not.
  7. The more that you can make opposing defenses pay for blitzing, the less teams will actually send pressure. This makes is easier for the OL, etc.
  8. Couple of thoughts: 1) It was the officials first game of the season as well 2) Should not come into play (but they are only human), the fact that Navy was getting dominated had to have at least a subconscious impact on the refs.
  9. Offensive Snap Counts for Navy game https://www.on3.com/teams/notre-dame-fighting-irish/news/notre-dame-vs-navy-snap-counts-participation-chart/ Defensive Snap Counts for Navy game https://www.on3.com/teams/notre-dame-fighting-irish/news/notre-dame-vs-navy-snap-counts-participation-chart-defense/
  10. @FaithInIrish Forever I will try to help out with this thread.
  11. Besides a convincing win and lots of snaps for different players, I was happy that (as far as I know) there were no injuries in the game for the Irish.
  12. BTW, hard to believe that Hartman and Lawrence were in the same recruiting class in high school
  13. #81 - No ill will towards @NYGoldenDomer It's on me for missing my chance. You snooze you lose
  14. Off topic but I would like ND to play at Hawaii every year so they can get an extra game and start the season a week earlier. It also would be great from a recruiting perspective. It would help offset the lack of a conference championship game argument that some make against ND since I believe that the Irish could play 13 regular season games.
  15. # 79 - BTW, I am sad since I had been waiting for reply #76 to post something about the song from Music Man (76 trombones leading the parade) and then @NYGoldenDomer grabbed it before I could post.
  16. #77, @NYGoldenDomer Please try to pay attention to the rules of the thread (and number your messages) 😀
  17. "Defaming" is a strong word to be throwing around. I looked at the thread and did not see anyone acting like a "jerk" other than some folks being skeptical about a total stranger (new to the forum) posting anonymously about 10 tickets he wants to sell - supposedly because he could no longer make the trip to Ireland 5 days before the game. I guess we have to assume that the other 9 people also had to cancel at the last minute as well. Instead of offering some type of proof that the tickets might be legit (with critical info being redacted of course), you resort to name calling. Feel free to call me a jerk as well since there is no way that I would be willing to send you thousands of dollars based solely on your word that the tickets are real. Also, feel free to run to the moderator to complain about me.
  18. (just realized that we can do Day 0 this year)
  19. Given that they have at least 3 different defensive packages (base, nickel, dime - or whatever they call them these days) and at least two different offensive packages (one vs two TEs), it is possible that someone will start (i.e. play in the very first play of the game) who is not technically listed as a starter on the official depth chart. In any case, I believe that you are correct regarding Harper and Lewis at the nickel.
  20. I would be OK with someone calculating the future value to Navy of playing ND and then ND buying their way out of their commitment to play them.
  21. Random person just happens to have bought 10 tickets and then cannot go and now wants to sell all 10 seats. What about the other 9 people who were going to be sitting next to him? All 10 found out 5 days before the game that they cannot go?
  22. Official depth chart for Navy' https://www.si.com/college/notredame/football/notre-dame-football-depth-chart-vs-navy-2023
  23. Ignore the above. Sounded good and I think true to some extent but the official Irish depth chart for Navy has Kristofic in two deep for RG and the lighter Coogan ahead of the heavier Schrauth at LG. Also Wagner at 288 is the back-up at RT. Also saw that Carmody had hand surgery which probably caused him to be moved out of the RT rotation for now.
  24. One difference between HH and Rudolph regarding the OL is that it seems that Rudolph values size over experience and 'mauling' over technique. As a result, you are seeing some of the younger OL who are raw but have greater frames move into the two deep. Note that Michael Carmody who is listed around 290 has dropped in the depth chart despite starting at least one game at OT in the past.
