    Who has left ND and gone on to have great success? We all know that winning at ND is harder, but I am not seeing clear cases where ND as an institution is the issue. If BK goes on to have more success than he has, maybe I will get it but right now not so much.

    Some of it feels like there isn’t respect for CMU. Like Faith pointed out earlier about pin punting. A good punt instead of a missed FG and this game is still 21-7 or even 28-7.

    That was a good opportunity to practice pin punts or long field goals. Feels meaningless in a game like this but it would be nice.

    The coaching talent tree at ND is too watered down at this point, I agree if we were to take Rees as an HC it would be a tacit acceptance of mediocrity. FWIW, I like Hartline for the OSU job. I don't care for OSU in general, and there is something about Ryan Day I just don't like. It may just be an RBF thing but he reminds me a lot of Shaw with that sour look on his face. I accept that my dislike of him is irrational, and also that I know myself well enough to know I am happy to carry my irrational dislike with me.

    Game doesn’t feel like a huge blowout but wow. Love the way the team took advantage of TOS.

    About as good a first half as you could ask for. 2:1 pass to rush yards right now so it would be nice to see some more rushing in the second half. Hartman is as good as advertised. Happy happy happy.

    I had the misfortune of watching ND at USC 1996 last night. A combination of nostalgia and football withdrawal compelled me to leave it on even though it was the Pac12 station, and I knew they wouldn't play a good game. I couldn't remember if I was at that game or not, getting old sucks. I do distinctly remember watching the 2000 game at the Coliseum, that also sucked.

    Ha. I was reading round 2 draft grades and they gave the Lions a D for that pick noting LaPortia isn’t good and they could have had Mayer.

    ND might be the most tone-deaf school in the nation when it comes to understanding the landscape. I guess the board of trustees is going to be buried in a giant communal cash lined coffin. I never thought I would see the day.

    Hired by him is definitely key. If he promotes from within I am going to be disappointed. We need some new blood.

    I looked at him earlier. 2m a year with Tampa Bay and he looks like he is headed for an NFL HC role.
