Showing a commitment to increase diversity at the highest ranks of football is a big thing, it may tip a guy like Keeley who is an ND guy all things told towards ND as opposed to Bama. Congrats to Tommy, he has been an ND man. He stuck with us after the mess with Kelly and helped to keep things from falling apart. I think that Freeman can do everything he needs to do to keep the class together. I always thought the dynamic was a little weird honestly, they gave Rees a raise to stay on before they hired Freeman as the HC. Now Freeman gets full run of the HC job, pick his own OC and everything. The fact that Tommy went to get experience under Saban shows he has a lot to learn and we can make a solid hire on someone who is more seasoned.

It is certainly a move. When I was about 18 I worked for a construction company with a boss who was completely unhinged. I was late one time and when I apologized he screamed at my and threatened to shoot me in the face if I didn’t get out of his sight. I walked away and kept on working. It was a means to an end. I was making 20 dollars an hour and I tolerated a lot of public dressing downs. For 2 million I could tolerate a heck of a lot more. You don’t get better working for people who let you run the ship your way, at least I don’t. I like to work where I am challenged and learning from people who are better than I am. Tommy will never when an NC at Notre Dame. I say take the money and thanks for all you have done. Maybe the HC position will be open at ND in a few years and he can come back.

Agreed. If I am Tommy and everyone is offering the same money it is a tough competition between the love and ND and the opportunity to learn from one of the best college football coaches of all time. It is a tough sell to stay.

Agreed. It also stokes some conversation in a lot of circles if he leaves. How does ND keep talent? Why did Tommy accept a job with Bama and not a job that would have made him the highest paid OC in the NCAA at LSU? ND is going to have to do something to be more than a stepping stone for coaches and recruits.

She is 23. The news hasn't been positive so far. She was without air to her brain for as long as 30 minutes, not entirely sure. It is definitely going to take a miracle for her to survive and another to recover.
