I am a little surprised, I thought he would stick it out and try to be one of the main players next. If he realized at the end of spring ball that he wasn't going to be a starter, then I would expect him to pull the trigger.

Based on how he acted after the last home game, I am guessing he has known this decision for a while. He does have 2 degrees from ND as well, I wish him all the best!

Two degrees, doesn't get much better from an academic standpoint.  I had high hopes for him when he came, as I'm sure he did too, unfortunately that didn't pan out.  Good luck sir!

I think it's worth noting that entering the portal does not necessarily mean they'll transfer. For example, Houston Griffith ended up staying a couple years ago.

Honestly, Tyree was an awesome ND man. Played 4 years, got degree, now going to where he can get more attention and hopefully make a chance at the NFL. Good luck to him

More of a featured player.  Whether it continue to be as a receiver or going back to his natural running back position.  He wasn't getting the attention(the ball) he deserves here.
