2018 ND Lacrosse

That was a horrible loss! Absolutely no excuse to lose that game.

Goalie play was horrible...by both

I can't even count how many open, basically lay-ups ND missed.

Face offs in the second half were pitiful...

Only highlight was Garnsey..5 goals and an assist....It's time to stary playing him for the whole game.

Just a bad, frustrating loss.

Notre Dame rebounded with a win on the road to beat osu!

Positives:

-ND was 17-21 in faceoffs and Trav was 17/19. Between Trav and the wing play, this is the best faceoff game I have ever seen ND have!

Goalie play was so much better...No lost confidence, which is huge!

Negatives:

D-poles are losing a lot of one-on-one battles, and giving too many good looks.

Not finishing shots

Decision making on shots

Very nice road win. Had the lead, lost it and came back strong at the end

Out of town so I didn't get a chance to watch the game....taped it, but when I saw the score, felt too frustrated to watch....The Irish lost to cuse 10-6. Gleason was out, but there's no excuse to only score 6 goals against a bad cuse defense.

Something just not right with this team..No offensive flow, and they can't finish their shots. Looks like this will be a borderline tournament team, and there's really no excuse for it they way they have been recruiting.

So, how did Gleason and Constabile get hurt lol?

No clue how they got hurt, but there is absolutely no excuse for the effort those kids/coaches gave today. That place was packed and ND had players on the field that couldn't pass and catch...that couldn't handle simple poke checks...that couldn't handle simple body check...

That showing today was a disgrace. That's the worst offense I have seen in lacrosse in quite some time.

Like I’ve said for years it’s time for Corrigan to step down. No, excuse to be this bad with all that freshman talent.

1000% AGREE! His offense is absolutely pitiful....and always has been.... And it's not just the frosh class. ND has recruited well the past 4 years....

Rare mid-week game tonight as the Irish travel to a 5-4 marquette team. Will be interesting to see what, if any, adjustments the coaching staff makes to the offense....either personnel wise, or schema wise.......as this is a game the Irish should and need to win.

ND managed to score two goals in the last 42 seconds to beat marquette 7-6.

Pros:

-Defense-Really playing well..sliding well..recovering well...causing havoc

-Schmidt-played pretty well and made some solid saves

-Personnel-Corrigan actually played an entirely new second line of middies...and they did produce...Walter, Mcnamara, Drake...all scored...

-Sexton...The guy is elite....scored a goal and caused havoc...I don't know what his conditioning is, but they need to push as much as they can and have him a part of their transition offense...The guy has a rifle....

-extra man opportunity...ND was 0 for their last 12...They finally broke that streak and scored a couple on man-up.

Cons:

-Faceoffs....I think ND was 3/13. Bad clamps, bad wing play...marquette wanted it more

-Offense....Still really struggled to score...marquette was physical with them and ND struggled to dodge

-Corrigan not playing that second line enough...As expected, a new line of middies had a little more sense of urgency...They should have played more

-Wynne...Really bad game...Missing easy passes, and not working the crease that well

10 days off to figure things out on offense...They need it!!!!!

The guy built the program into a national power, Think we can cut him some slack?

No doubt, he has put ND on the map for lacrosse. But I'm willing to bet they do not win a title with him, as he has never really adjusted his offensive scheme/philosophy to get the most out of the talent he has....Defense, most certainly, but he needs a more progressive mind on offense....or get someone that can do it for him....

This team blows. They’re not deserving of a Tourney bid. I’m not ready to boot Corrigan, but this season should hear his seat up.

10 days off, and the offense is still a joke. unc...losers of 7 in a row....was playing without 3 key players, including their faceoff specialist. ND got 17 out of 22 faceoffs....17/22....ZERO excuse for losing this game. This was a must win for the Irish. They will not make the tourney now. They'll will most likely get embarrassed by duke next week, and that will be all she wrote. Huge let down of a season.

I want to see fresh, young blood coaching on the sidelines, but that won't happen.
