Exactly. Johnson sucks. He'd get alot done with a rep or dem congress. He'd struggle to get a scotus candidate through before his term ends.

 

The biggest loser to me appears to be the republicans. Trump ain't going nowhere if he loses. He'll give speeches and right books and will do what glen beck and sarah palin couldn't, create a cable network to rival fox and divide the party imo.

 

I would suggest that people follow the wikileaks dumps that are going on right now. The emails are downright damning for the democrat party. They show media collusion between the clinton camp and the MSM. If i were a Bernie supporter i would be pissed.

I agree but they wont catch on cause it wont grab the attention of most americans because in this country sex sells and the audio of trump and billy bush is a much sexier story line.

Seems like the only place I see anything reported is on Facebook posts. ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN can't get enough of Trump and sexual implications, but report on something that's really important to this country? Nah, too much work. They just seem to go for the tabloid headlines, not the meaty stories.

It sucks, but the reason we are in this political mess is because many (A big many) Americans are essentially Kardashian watching drooling idiots.That is why the news stopped being informative and started being "entertaining". Even informational websites are filled with little more than a running tape of morbid reports about death, violence, racism, and political mudslinging.

 

The truth is anyone looking to make an educated choice this November has the resources to get good information and make an informed choice, sadly most people won't. Most people who will pick whoever the popular candidate is at the time, whoever is "in the lead" so they can feel like they are on the winning team.

 

I love America, my family has been fighting for this country since World War II, it really does pain me to see what it has come to. So many lives lost so we can put a freaking Muppet into office. And not even one of the good Muppets. SMH

To some extent I agree. The media is supposed to be the watch dog of the .gov and work to show corruption. At some point the media got together and decided the better paychecks and kickbacks come from the government tit and began to shill for them.

That's part of the problem. Another problem is no one wants to be told that they are wrong. Now we all have places to tell us what we want to hear. An objective news outlet could not get ratings and would still be accused of being biased.

Democrats and Republicans are essentially the same thing at this point. Neither is willing to induce any worthwhile change, they want to maintain the status quo, which is the cycle of pass a bill, veto a bill, tie it up in congress, promise to repeal, collect fat paycheck, repeat. So much time and money is spent infighting and why change it and put yourself out of a job? The only change I see coming has to be initiated by someone outside of those two bloated gluttonous diseased parties. Politics are wholly corrupt and worthless, just another mad cash grab. Trump might come in and change "business as usual" but at what cost? Most people are comfortable and after the election is over I am afraid that business as usual is going to resume and no one will give a crap about having a turd in the White House until 4 more years have passed.

There is a tremendous amount of collusion that goes on and it renders the majority of mainstream media useless. Most news outlets are owned one way or the other and just can't report anything that is not completely biased. Most of the Hollywood is ultra left so around election time you see nothing but an endless stream of anti-right garbage. I can't watch SNL on an election year because it is impossible to see humor amidst so much agenda.

 

It would be simple to say the media caters to the government, but which government?

 

In the end I am obviously a fairly far right conservative and up until lately I self identified (haha) as a Republican, but I just can't accept the party actions anymore, they don't line up with traditional GOP party values. Damned if this election and ND football aren't awful parallels right now. If BK wins 6 or 7 games we are in for another ho hum year, whoever wins the White House, we are in for the same.

I don't know. It just seems to me that when a democrat was president from 1992-2000 (and this is a President I voted for and actually liked) and he was not only accused of rape but also caught on a blue dress of having what he denied as sexual relations under the oval desk in the White House, the discussion in the media seemed to be more about, 'well, what he does in his private life isn't as important as what he does as President'. So it seems to me like there's a media double standard.

 

I don't think that someone talking big talk in a locker room or trailer or on film ever threatened the security of an entire country. As more and more and more and more comes out about Clinton and her mails, it appears to me like she has already placed the country at risk. Even in the last couple days we learn that Obama had personally communicated by email with Clinton on her non-secure site. They covered it up and now it's finally exposed. The President and the Secretary of State can communicate through illegal nonauthorized electronically hackable methods and nothing happens, but Trump remains the headline. Just a terrible thing.

 

But I'm sorry for thinking this way. I really must be deplorable.
