Being reported that there were two explosions at the finish line at the Boston Marathon.. Still getting info right now.. I hope no one got hurt..

edit: God, it's a gory mess. Blood is everywhere, dozens of people are down...the pictures and videos coming out of this is horrific.

The first thing that came to my mind was Muslims but it is Patriots Day and Tax Day with the attacks being in Boston...makes me think it may have been a few of our own.

From videos of the incident, it sounds like a pipe bomb. The fact that two were detonated and another discovered (and detonated by BPD) less than 100 yards apart makes me think there's no chance this was an accident.

They are reporting a third explosion, at the JFK library. It was first reported as a fire but has now been confirmed as another bomb.

Has anyone claimed responsibility yet. I assume it is politically driven. The pre planning makes me think it is not the product of just mental illness. Seems more like an act of extremism coordinated by a group with a political agenda.

 

We will persevere. Still, we seem to have a lot of violence in our society.

 

I have not read any speculation on potential perps yet.

2 dead 22 injured thus far says USA today.....that article shows how many facts are used in initial reports......sad day for Boston......anyone know if our guy 2lakes was there?.....hope anyone who had loved ones involved is with them very soon......prayers go out to Boston.....and a big thank you to the Boston PD and fire fighters
