  1. I guess they are looking for a safety, even if Watts decides to come back.
  2. Can you imagine if no SEC gets in. They will definitely make sure one of them gets in right? Michigan (undefeated conference champ) Washington (undefeated conference champ) FSU (undefeated conference champ) Texas - (They beat the SEC champ)
  3. Chuck Martin and Miami (OH) win the MAC Championship
  4. I think Colzie is still injured and not available for the game.
  5. I would agree, but with the new landscape of college football and portal system, I think you will see more of this across the country when a position coach is let go. I think it is even a little different when the position coach goes somewhere else on their own (even then, they take some players with them quite often). I believe one of the exceptions to the sit out rule is if your position coach leaves. I do think it will happen much more around the country.
  6. There was a picture, from TheAthletic.com, going around Facebook late last night with Notre Dame being tied for 6th with the fewest transfers so far. Ohio State is the only "major team" with fewer transfers than ND right now.
  7. That is all you ever say. We get it, you dont like Parker. Deal with it, he is staying. You are starting to get to troll level.
  8. DJ was at Oregon State for 1 year and he says "Forever a Beaver?"
  9. Alabama winning would absolutely wreck things for the committee. I agree with the order you put them in, but Texas would definitely have something to say... would FSU without their QB change things at all. If FSU barely beats Louisville in an ugly game, some would say they do not belong in, but do you punish an undefeated team?
  10. Man that sucks, I think he could be a really good player with some development. Definitely bummed about this one. He was only a freshmen too....
  11. Championship Week is here guys and girls, there is a solid game in each of the time slots and I believe they will be competitive outside of the B1G game. Ill predict my winners by highlighting them: All times are Central Time Zone Friday 6:00 - New Mexico State @ #24 Liberty - CBSSN - CUSA Championship, Liberty battling for that top Group of 5 bowl big 7:00 - #5 Oregon @ #3 Washington - ABC - PAC12 Championship, winner is in Saturday 11:00 - #18 Oklahoma State @ #7 Texas - ABC - BigXII Championship, Texas could get in if certain things happen. 11:00 - Miami (OH) @ Toledo - ESPN - MAC Championship 2:00 - Boise State @ UNLV - FOX - Mountain West Championship 3:00 - #1 Georgia @ #8 Alabama - CBS - SEC Championship, Does Georgia still get in if they lose? 3:00 - SMU @ #22 Tulane - ABC - AAC Championship, Tulane is the top Group of 5 team right now for the bowl bid 3:00 - App State @ Troy - ESPN - Sun Belt Championship 7:00 - #2 Michigan @ #16 Iowa - FOX - B1G Championship, I do not see Michigan struggling at all on this one. 7:00 - #14 Louisville @ #4 Florida State - ABC - ACC Championship, Some say if FSU struggles to win, they could be left out depending on what else happens. How do you see things playing out this week?
  12. Other insiders are saying James is going to stay. We shall see what happens. I really do not want to lose Braylon James, I was very high on him myself.
  13. This is one thing I am concerned about, Leonard is a quality QB, I wont argue that, but I also do not think he is a no brainer 1st round draft pick either. If QB recruits keep seeing ND take transfers, they will think they do not have a legitimate shot at starting and wont commit to ND. QBs greatly effect recruiting classes as well.
  14. This was all about NIL.... A lot of people were calling for Al Washington's head for losing this guy.
  15. It does concern me a little bit that both Angeli and Minchey are likely to leave. Leonard would definitely be QB1 in that group, but I really do not want to lose either of them, but definitely not both. I know the staff wants 4 QB scholarships, but I think that is highly unlikely in today's environment.
  16. Well, just understand that about 20 people will have to leave before Fall Practice of next year. There will be a lot more, but some may leave after spring ball when they realize where they stand on the depth chart.
  17. I guess there is a still a good chance that one or two WRs still leave from the current roster. My primary guesses (no actual intel on any of these, just my speculation): Tobias Merriweather - I think he is the most talented, but I think he was probably the most affected by Stuckey's "way of coaching" Jayden Thomas - Mystery in my opinion, he was hurt most of this year, but his production still went way down, this could go either way. Deion Colzie - I think he is the most likely to transfer as he probably realizes that he has been passed up on the depth chart Will probably see ND go after at least one WR in the transfer portal to replace the loss(es). Sounds like Freeman has some work to do to convince some people in the WR room to stay. Again, the names listed are just MY SPECULATION, no specific rumors of any particular player has been mentioned at this time.
  18. Still expect ND to go hard into the transfer portal. but I'll be honest, as a PWO, this pickup of Rezac is about as good as it gets, he did have D1 offers from small schools, his team was dominant over multiple years, and he threw up really good stats.
  19. I agree, Tobias staying would be beneficial for ND. People hating on Tobias dont really seem to have a valid reason. He was open, and there is video proof on insider boards, more often down field that you all think. Also, if any of you watched the publicly available video on Youtube from Irish Breakdown yesterday, you would know that it was likely Stuckey that seemed to have been the problem. Tobias has the talent, if you do not see that, I do not know what to tell you. Also, not sure I saw Tobias being lazy once, I saw him constantly blocking people downfield when given the chance. I just do not think there is any valid reason to be hating on Tobias. James does not appear to be transferring anymore. It seems Stuckey was the main reason why James even thought about leaving, now that isn't an issue.
  20. Just so people know, Deuce Knight stated that ND would be getting a commitment this Friday. I'm no detective, just a patrol sergeant, but I feel like there is something here...
  21. I understand you dislike Parker, but you seem to have a one track mind about it. Prepare to be disappointed when Parker is the OC for 2024. I remember around this time last year, half of the fanbase wanted Al Golden fired, now everyone is begging him to stay another year.
  22. Just be prepared guys, a staff rarely stays together after a season. Deland is probably a sure thing to move on, I would put money on it. Golden may wait for the right spot open up.
  23. That is all speculation though, nothing concrete as far as interest though... @irishwavend They are QBs. I really like that DT from Penn (not Penn State), reminds me of Mills to be honest.
  24. I am a little surprised, I thought he would stick it out and try to be one of the main players next. If he realized at the end of spring ball that he wasn't going to be a starter, then I would expect him to pull the trigger. Based on how he acted after the last home game, I am guessing he has known this decision for a while. He does have 2 degrees from ND as well, I wish him all the best!
