  1. It really is an easy schedule for 2024. I just do not see any game where ND would not be the favorite. U$C maybe, but only if they are better than projected as I think Caleb Williams hid many of their flaws and that defense still may be bad next year. The big 4 games of 2024 Texas A&M - away game - but they are clearly in a rebuilding year Florida State - home game - they lost a lot of players last year and they looked bad after Travis went down U$C - away game - their new QB could be better than predicted, but I doubt he is a Caleb Williams type player, the defense needs help still Louisville - home game - will not be as good this year either. They lost a lot. Right now, I would consider ND favorites to win every game. QB + ND upgraded RB = ND will reload WR + Will more than likely be better than last year mostly because I highly doubt it gets any worse TE + Evans and Raridon should be back and both healthy. OL = May be slightly worse in some areas and slightly better in others (probably the biggest unknown) DL + Upgraded as I believe Oben > JJB while everything else stays the same and even the backups are more experience now LB = An unknown as they lose experience, but gain in athleticism and highly rated players with plenty of potential CB - We lose Hart and replace him with Gray/Mickens, only a slight downgrade because I think Gray/Mickens will be great players S = We keep our star Safety and replace the other safety who had experience, but was nothing special 4 + QB, WR, TE, DL 4 = RB, OL, LB, S 1 - CB
  2. O'Leary is going to the Chargers https://www.si.com/college/notredame/football/safeties-coach-chris-oleary-is-leaving-notre-dame-for-the-los-angeles-chargers This may not be a massive hit to us and may help us keep Bullough. There is a lot of talk about making Mickens the DB Coach (CB and Safety) and promoting Bullough to LB Coach. There are teams who are going after Bullough for a full time gig from the rumor mill.
  3. Both, especially if Evans is healthy. Evans and Raridon are excellent TEs and I believe ND will have plenty of quality WRs. No reason why they couldn't change it up. 2 TEs with 2 RBs to make it look like a heavy run play, play-action, everyone takes off on their routes. 3 WRs with 2 RBs to make it look like a pass play, do some type of RPO or even option play to run it down their throats in a slightly more vacant box. I honestly do think ND has weapons at each level offensively to hurt the defense in a variety of different ways... AS LONG AS THE OLINE IS ABLE TO HOLD UP!
  4. I do think Nickel will be majority of their defensive snaps, but I would not mind seeing more 3LBs formations in order to get the young talented LBs more experience. Not sure for the offensive side of the ball. I wish they would have more 2 RB sets to be honest with Love and Price. I think you will end up being right only because it is the basic lineup for most teams
  5. I like Burress as a prospect, he doesn't have all the offers, but his film is pretty good, though small. There are TWO other WRs on the team, De'zie Jones (4*) and DeShawn Stewart (4*), who are D1 prospects which has resulted in limiting his own targets/stats.
  6. So, it sounds he did have some "cleanup" apparently, which is not a big deal. However, it sounds like he will participate in winter workouts and should be full-go for spring. I think this story is coming down to "semantics." He did have something done, but doesn't seem to be a big deal like some are making it out to be.
  7. I really hope ND ponies up and pays the man something competitive.
  8. Kedren Young reminds me a lot of Estime, who was also mid/low 4* on most services. I hope young can replicate Estime's career.
  9. Agreed, I think 1-2 of Olinemen will transfer after Spring practice when the depth chart is determined. I think Baumen will be off the roster as well. I think one of the CBs could leave. I also think there is a chance at least one RB leaves as well (Ford and Payne are the main ones I am thinking about). Then, of course, there is the likelihood that one of the QBs transfers.
  10. They bumped down Cam Williams ~30 spots because he couldnt play in the All-Star game... 🙄
  11. Bryce Young is far too low. But I still think Bodie Kahoun is the most underrated player in the class.
  12. Notre Dame is down to 89, if Rubio is permanently done, then it is 88. However, Rubio is a mystery on whether he will return or not.
  13. There is a chance he returns. Seems like some of staff expects him to return in the summer. Not sure how confident I am in that.
  14. There were some that thought he should not have been taken as early as he was. Keon Keeley was always underrated when Notre Dame offered him.
  15. Honestly, most commitments fall into the silent commit category. A large percentage of high school players tell the coaches, "Hey, I'm all Irish, I want to announce it on such and such day, possibly for such and such reasons." Very few times, the recruit does the "hat" thing and the coaches dont know what they are going to pick.
  16. Honestly, that is a very difficult question to answer. I think ND hit a home run with this visit. People that could pop soon and I feel confident that ND is currently leading: CB Golden - probably a silent OL Lange - probably a silent OL Strebig - probably a silent CB Zachary - could commit soon, originally planned to have a longer timeline WR Bettis - probably a silent DE Shanklin - could commit soon WR Burress - could commit soon I think they did well with Taylor, Augustine, and NOB, but they may not decide soon. There is some speculation that there is some type of holdup with Augustine, but no one seems to know. NOB will be deciding very late in the process more than likely. I'll be honest, the class is looking REALLY good right now, Could be an elite OL class. If they get Shanklin and keep everyone they have, ELITE DL class as well. I think the only group I have questions about is WR, but if they can land at least one of Taylor, McCutcheon, or Meadows, then maybe. But right now, they have 3 that could pop soon (Terry could commit, but not sure if he is a take) but all 3 of them are "Average" looking WR (low 4*/high3* caliber players).
  17. 1) KVA on defense and Cam Williams on offense 2) Eli Raridon - I think he will be a 1st Draft pick when it is all said and done 3) D. Bowen or Faison - I think both of the RBs will be explosive, but I see them a true 1a/1b situation so it may be hard to just pick one.
  18. 2025 WR McCutcheon (a top ND target) will not be attending due to him and his family getting the flu, I'm sure they are making attempts to reschedule.
  19. Caleb Downs will probably go to either UGA or OSU (my pick is UGA) Proctor will go to Iowa If Keeley enters the portal (so far, the rumors are exclusively coming from fan speculation), it would be up in the air, but remember, ND was not his #2-3 pick by the end of things. I wouldn't get my hopes super high, but after being in college for a year, maybe his priorities change, men that age change quite a bit.
  20. Good for him, not a bad school to transfer to at all. Should get decent playing time and still compete against the big boys.
  21. There is a chance this defensive back haul could be really elite. CB: Thomas, Golden, Williams S: Taylor, Long, Blair Lets hope!
  22. Him and his brother could play together for 3 years if they wanted even though they are 3 years apart. He isn't highly rated, but his offer list is impressive and the coaches really seemed to prioritize him.
  23. Good, because Joseph was a pretty big let down, but maybe it was because of the expectations everyone placed on him. He was slated to be the next Hamilton and be a day 1-2 NFL draft pick at safety. I think with Heard, the expectations are much more realistic in that he will be a quality depth piece to go with Watts while Shuler/Minich continue to develop.
  24. The transfer portal rankings are interesting to say the least. A lot of them still consider their HS ranking if they are freshmen, it is just very VERY VERY subjective. Also, quantity over quality is the name of the game. ND only got 8, but they got one of the top 3 QBs in the portal, one of the best pass rushers, and one of the best kickers in the portal. ND got two quality WRs (I believe the 3rd is mostly for KR purposes), and got quality backs that were great players at their "3rd tier" schools. They filled their needs with quality players.
  25. Would really like to see how things go with the LBs and WRs as both of those are quite open right now. I think Kia will commit soon, but ND is in contention with a lot of solid WRs and LBs, but none where they are the clear favorites as of right now.
