I personally think: Bowen and KVA at MIKE Sneed and Ziegler/Zinter at WILL Kiser and Ausberry at Rover I am not super familiar with Ziegler and Zinter as far as what they would be best at, but I think the starting 3 should be Bowen, Kiser, and Sneed. I think KVA could earn plenty of playing time and he is best as a thumper in the middle. Ausberry could also play WILL. I think the bowl game could show a lot when it comes to the LB corp for next year. Getting Mills to come back is HUGE, this Dline, if they stay healthy, is going to be legit!

Having one veteran LB return will help all of the young talent. I just hope they do not put him as the starting MIKE just so he can be the leader there. They should keep him at Rover/Will, I do not think Kiser is a good fit at MIKE.

I dont think so. Some were hoping he would pull a Quentin Nelson and come back for his senior year to graduate, but it is hard to pass up a top 10 draft spot (lowest many see him going is #7).

If it is the right 3 names, it would be absolutely massive Mills and Watts would be super helpful if they return for another season. What is interesting, is that Watts was with Morrison in the Leonard commitment video. Not saying is guarantees anything, but it is a good sign of Watts coming back.

I wouldn't bother overreacting to KVA or Leonard going to OSU... It does seem like Kelly may not be coming to ND, but ND may think they have a shot at someone better, not sure who it would be though. I also think ND eventually lands Leonard and Collins from the portal.

Here is the thing. Leonard to Notre Dame is a pretty sure thing at this point, it doesn't take an "insider" to make this prediction. This "source" is going to be right at the end of the day. However, I could make a twitter account and "predict" things like this as well, does not mean I have "sources."

Raridon clearly passed Staes once he was back. People may not remember, but Raridon got to see time as a true freshmen with both Mayer and Evans on the roster before his injury.

Remember that $31 million recruiting class for TA&M? It has fallen apart. Though some seem to think this could be a leverage play to get more money....

I have a feeling the staff is still working on Braylon James. Braylon's own father wasnt aware of his transfer... Seems like an emotional decision. Nothing guaranteed but I think he would be the best chance to bring back. Flores was gone as soon as Stuckey was let go.

If Bertrand is going to the NFL draft (which seems to be the case), I wouldn't blame him for sitting out. The dude has given ND more than enough already. With the exception of Fisher, I expected all of those people to sit out in order to get ready for the draft and avoid injury. Fisher seems to be a head case at this point though.

I am happy with the class so far. I think CJ Carr can be one of the best QBs in the class regardless of where he is ranked. Cam Williams is a legit 5* WR. I think the DL is very underrated. Outside of Lambert, I am not super excited about the OL, but I am also not knowledgeable on the OL. KVA is a stud and I think the other LBs will be more than serviceable (Bertrand types). Johnson and Moore on the backend couple be really good in a couple years.

Collins is a proven reliable receiver though. Is it going to be a stud that puts fear into the defenses, no. However, he can be a trustworthy target on 3rd down and has proven he can be consistent. I do wonder if ND would take all 3, but I would be happy if they at least got two of them.

He would need to petition the NCAA for a 7th year of eligibility. He has already used his redshirt and covid years.

Honestly, the only thing this rumor is based off of it that emoji tweet KVA had like a week ago to a tOSU commit. Even the emoji wasn't all that telling. As far as dialogue, every insider will tell you that coaches stay in touch with players all the time that commit to other schools and I am sure KVA still "talks" to other coaches that recruited him and he got close with. At this point, there just has been nothing really that fuels this rumor other than the RUMOR itself and people trying to latch on to it for one reason or another. At this point, with what has been shared so far, I am not worried at all about KVA.

Hopefully Clark continues the streak of getting great Nickels from the transfer portal. Kid seems legit! I do wonder how many WRs Notre Dame wants from the portal.

I would be pretty happy if ND ended up landing both Mitchell and Collins to fill the voids at WR.

I am very surprised Dillon Gabriel entered the portal. The dude is electric, but I have a feeling he will go to USC or tOSU...

OT - Only if he is a stud, I have my doubts that they will get one from the portal TE - I doubt that as well. Evans and Raridon will be 1A and 1B next year and there are less than a handful of TEs out there that could challenge those two. LB - I do not think they will get a LB at all, they are stacked with young talent at LB DL - I do think they will get one, but not sure who at this point. I think a lot depends on what Cross/Mills do. Kicker - I think they HAVE to get a kicker because they do not have anyone for next year

I think it will either be the Sun Bowl v Oregon St or Mayo Bowl v West Virginia Out of those two, I would rather play Oregon St because they are higher ranked

You are right. ND has had really good luck with incoming nickel players recently, hopefully the streak can continue.

With the recent transfers and senior bowl invites accepted (Liufau, Bertrand, and Hart), ND is currently sitting at 88 scholarship players for 2024. Which is not too bad, however, I think everyone is expecting ND to get 3-5 players from the transfer portal. This means that ND will need to see 6-8 more departures from the current roster. I see a few people going through spring practice and realizing that they are not the starter, then transferring in April (particularly on the OL). QB - Leonard WR - Mitchell, maybe another one DB - Clark I like that DT from Penn that looks like a copy of R. Mills

I guess they are looking for a safety, even if Watts decides to come back.
