  1. I highly doubt Bradshaw’s coming. He or Nd cancelled his visit. I think walker and/or Merriweather can do that. They are both big, but can flat out run.
  2. He was at Alabama’s camp and the coaches clocked him running a 4.41. Before he left campus they offered him. I doubt he’s a plan B.
  3. I would say the billboards are a good start. You know that the kids they put on the billboards will get compensated when they can, and it is an incredible recruiting tool. As far as I know, they are the first ones to do it. Genius!
  4. I am all for 12 teams. The favorites may still win, but it gives more teams an opportunity and exposure. You never know what could happen. From what I have heard it sounds like it will happen because of the money. I would love for them to start it in December and have meaningful football right after the end of the regular season. I know nay sayers say 4 is enough because they don’t want to watch a bunch of blowouts. Even playoff blowouts would be better than more meaningless bowls that I don’t tune in for. I think eventually if more teams have a chance then the playing field in recruiting might even out some.
  5. Im not always a huge fan of Bryan driskell’s but for what it is worth Bryan Driskell is not crazy about this move. After watching maddon’s film he doesn’t think he’s all that great. He doesn’t think that he’s any better than what we have on the roster and thinks that we should just develop what we have on the roster.
  6. I would argue that he has a better job at Loyola. Loyola's number one sport priority is basketball. They have at least as good of basketball facilities as ND and he makes about the same salary. ND is going to have a really hard time bringing in a good proven basketball coach.
  7. Losing Patterson and the girl from South Bend Washington are tough recruiting losses for the 22' class, but It's only been 1 year. I'm not throwing in the towel on her yet. She needs to bring in the 23' class top 10 player from South Bend Washington.
  8. Women's basketball has been very liberal with the distribution of 5 stars. 46 girls were 5 star players in that freshman recruiting class. Lol. 7 of the 11 players still on the roster are 5 stars. Espn has finally started to be more conservative in giving out 5 stars starting with the 21 class.
  9. Not alarming or surprising at all. They all saw the writing on the wall. They aren't going to play. This team has a ton of girls with a lot of eligibility. I'm not concerned about those defections.
  10. Higher rated according to who? ND has their own board. They could give two $%#&$ less what players' star rankings are. That means nothing to them, so maybe they did get a highly ranked player.
  11. From the sounds of it, my take is not a popular one but I really like this pick up. I think there is a lot to like here. The ball comes out of his hand with some zip and quickly. He is big and mobile. He is accurate with the ball and is said to have great mechanics with an easy fluid throwing motion. He’s also said to have a good head on his shoulders and great attitude and work ethic. He is also said to be able to make all the throws. The one knock on him is at this point he doesn’t have “elite” arm strength. I saw that 40 yard plus throw that he made rolling to his left and throwing across his body while on the run. He has enough arm strength. Mike Singer said that after he saw Buchner throw live at the elite 11 camp where he didn’t necessarily have his best day, a couple weeks later singer went out and watched angelli live. He didn’t go on record as far as to say that angelli was better but he was hem hawing around and said the zip in which the ball came out of angelli’s hand was very impressive. The way he was talking it made it sound like he was more impressed with angelli than Buchner after those two live sessions. Singer also said that he has watched a decent amount of film on angelli and that he is willing to stand in the pocket and find his man. He also said it looked like the offense of line was not all that great because multiple times guys came in untouched and angelli was running for his life. There of been many five star quarterback busts over the years and many three-star quarterbacks that become stars. The fact of the matter is you just never know. I’m not saying angelli is going to be a star but at the same time he could. there are a lot of attributes to like about this young man. Remember he has only started six games in high school. There is a lot of growth to be made here.
  12. You can trash Brey all you want. I've done my fair share of it in the past, but have you met Jack Swarbrick. A long time ago I came to grips with the fact that Brey is going nowhere until he wants to. It's that simple.
  13. Well, not sure you read my post but that's ok. I am far from a Brey apologist.
  14. Of course I watched the game. They had more than one or two turnovers because of the press. They also allowed the press to speed them up and get them completely out of their offensive rhythm. If they would have broken the press like they should have, and made easy baskets or gotten into their set offense, they would have won the game bad defense and all. Like I said the same thing happened at Georgia Tech as soon as the Yellow Jackets ratcheted up the full court press. Plus, who said they were well coached? no one. Lol. but you also have to blame the players as well. Brey has had teams in the past that would obliterate the press. These current players just melt down and panic when pressed. Sure coaching plays a part, but it's not all of it.
  15. Wrong. It was completely the press. They didn’t start losing their lead until Syracuse started the press. It was the same story at Georgia Tech.
  16. They can’t handle the press. You never pressed breys good teams in the past because they broke it easily and would make You pay. This team keeps throwing the ball in the corner. Ryan is beyond weak with the ball on the press and hubb panics.
  17. I'm sure it's a good reason. It might be because they don't have a good feeling about either of their two QB offers committing. I for one really like Angeli, and he was one of their only two offers at QB. I'm pretty sure that if he wanted to commit, they would take him right now in a heartbeat. if you mean they offered Simpson because he is higher rated by the services. They don't give a crap about where players are rated by services. They do their own analysis.
  18. ? Henry. He was on last chance U. He came off as a selfish, know-it-all, cry baby. He wouldn’t have lasted 2 seconds with Kelly and ND.
  19. From just a pure football standpoint I think ND would have gotten him, but he is an actor also, so it makes all the sense in the world for him to stay in socal. He is going to be lebron james' son in Space Jam 2.
  20. Yes. Make no other changes and Put a top notch qb on ND and many of the playoff/championship games look much different, especially the recent ones. ND needs to work on finding a top QB fairly consistently and work on making sure there are no to few lapses in quality depth with ALL position groups. If you can do that with the recruiting that they have been doing lately, I think they can compete and beat the best teams.
  21. I totally agree. Awarding and honoring 4 year scholarships to all recruits and monitoring the juco situations closer is all part of that imo.
  22. Who would have you have taken snaps away from to get a guy on the field that didn’t always show up with the best work ethic in practice. (Driskall has sources that told him this). Even if that’s not true who would you have taken snaps from?
