    My thoughts on Rees is that he would be a very good NFL Coach. Where if a player doesnt perform, you cut them and get a new one. Developing players didnt seem like a strength vs playcalling.

    Sorry, let me clarify, im not saying he is the depth. Just not all players turn out and its best to have higher numbers. Look at what the expectations were for Carter from Rhode Island. Ended up doing nothing. not all will hit and its a numbers game.

    Hard to take someone when everyone knows your coach is about to leave as well.

    Wonder how that works academically. i know ND often has a hard time with the foreign language credits and calc requirement.

    truly amazed at the speed of the official announcements this year. In years past the deal was done but it would take a week or two for official announcements

    I mean, it could just be that he has a really good agent. Even if he has no intention of leaving, throwing his name out there gets him a raise as his current job.

    Go to camps. That will do more and get him in front of coaches of all levels. Even at NDs camp, they often have coaches from MAC schools or others helping out.

    The other thing to remember is MF is doign this search MUCH earlier where there are more candidates than last year, which was mid Feb.

    Not really true. All sports other than football, basketball and baseball have free transfer. I played d1 college soccer, on scholarship and people left all the time. It was part of it.

    Let me turn it around. Is there any chance this game, with who is and isnt playing from BOTH teams, helps his draft status?
