  1. What do the odds makers know that everyone else seems to have missed about Stoops? The general scuttlebut is that he has a good shot at coming to ND and he is the guy most folks on this board want.
  2. BS. It's public information for a reason. I can look up anyone's property tax in Indiana simply by providing their name or address. Or I can look up anyone's home sale and sale price. To say this is stalking is ridiculous!

  4. I thought we had a bye this week. Anyone hear anything about Charlie Weis?
  5. Appreciate your clearing that up for me.

  7. Agreed! I don't like hot-dogging regardless of who does it. I'm sick of all of the strutting, trash-talk and taunting. It makes for good show but the cameramen should just ignore it. They do that crap all of the time in the pro's and that's where the college kids get it. They want to be cool. I say put a stop to all of it. It's the worse form of selfish atttention seeking and it's embarassing to watch. Tate does hot-dog too much. Start winning some games and after you make a big play, get back in the huddle and take care of business rather than trying out for the circus.
  8. Like I said, megalomanaic. In your own mind of course. You wouldn't know logic if it hit you in the face.
  9. LOL! I know a megalomaniac when I see one.
  10. Are you proud of that record? Is this now the new standard for ND?
  11. Highlights of CW's career at ND: •Against teams with winning records: Weis 8-20 (.286) Faust 12-23 (.343) Willingham 12-15 (.444) Davie 18-22 (.450) •0 wins against teams finishing in the top 10 of any of the major polls. •0 wins over a team with less than 4 losses •1 (1-13) win against teams finishing in the Top 25 •Worst two year stretch in Notre Dame history (10-15) •First coach to lose to Navy since 1963 (twice) •First coach in Notre Dame history to lose to an eight-loss team (Syracuse 2008) •Has lost to more teams that finished outside the top 50 (MSU 2007, Purdue 2007, GT 2007, Navy 2007, Syracuse 2008) than Willingham, Davie and Faust… combined (5-4) •3-17 record since 2007 against teams that finished with a winning record •Only coach in ND history to coach for five years and not score 50 points in a game (56 other teams topped 50 points during Weis’s tenure) •Weis has given up 40+ points in a loss 6 times, 30+ in a loss 19 times •Will miss the BCS three straight years •No BCS wins in five years of coaching
  12. Throw a pity party with Sir John and Wave?
  13. You should be CW's pr man. It won't help that you distort reality though. Charlie's a failure and will be fired and for good reason. He didn't get the job done regardless of how you cherry pick the data. Everyone knows he can't cut it but you and a few other diehards who are in denial.
  14. Facts are facts. Interpret and spin them in any way that makes you feel better about CW. Doesn't change what was and what is. Facts are stubborn things.
  15. You are talking about the "Bush push" game? Close is only good in hand grenades, horseshoes, and sometimes when you are dancing. CW didn't do much better with his recruits than he did with Ty's.
  16. He still came from Ty's or Davie's recruiting. Was he successful at the next level? Didn't he leave as a junior in Ty's last year? What a horrible player he would have been had he stayed and played for Weis.
  17. CW never beat USC even with his own sterling recruiting efforts which as you all say, were far better than his predecessors. Bob Davie beat USC.
  18. I thought these guys were pretty darn good football players in college: Brady Shark Bruton Fasano McKnight Stovall Walker Zibby Carlson Ndukwe Tuck Wooden
  19. You haven't even looked at the facts. By every objective measure, CW has failed and had even broken records never before achieved by any other coach. You are the one who hasn't done an iota of due dilligence and that is what is truly laughable. Facts are stubborn things.
  20. By what measures? Defensively I would say no. Wies' first year he inherited some studs from the lowly Ty and his record proved it. No one on that team came from Weis. Everyone on this year's team came from Weis. What was his record his first year? Were we ranked at the end of the season with Ty's recruits? What is our record this year with Weis recruits? Will we be ranked at the end of the season? Recruiting might be better overall but Weis can't produce a good product from those good recruits. CW, doing less with more. His record is the same as Davie's. His winning percentage is exactly the same as Davie's and Ty's. How can you say he was better or the program is better? If next year's coach has as good of a first year as Wies did with Ty's recruits, then he did no better than Ty. If he has left the program in better shape than Ty, then given how good CW did his first year, any coach should be able to win the NC since as you think, the program is now far superior than that program was when CW took over. I'm not convinced that CW is either a good head coach of college football or that he has turned around the program significantly. He has failed in every measure and should be judged in the same way that Davie and Ty and Faust were judged. CW has arguably had more offensive talent than any other coach since Lou Holtz yet has done far less with that talent than anyone who came before him. If CW is such a great recruiter, why does our defense suck? If he is such an offensive genius and this year has the best offense in many years, why couldn't he score any points against Navy in the first half and against Pitt in the first half? Again, the facts are the facts. Take a look at them again and try and convince yourself that CW is so much better than his two previous predecessors. You can't if you are honest.
