  1. I predict that Navy will run the triple option.
  2. Navy coach in locker room before ND game: At the end, he asks: "Now ---- what are you gonna do? They all inaudibly reply: THE TRIPLE OPTION!
  3. Nah, I've never seen any ND bias in the media. Heck I can recall the year we beat Florida State and at the end of the season when they were considering either Florida State or ND for the NC, we had identical records - I believe we both had one loss. Under any other tie-breaking circumstance in college sports, head-to-head competition is the tie-breaker. Wasn't that year though. Bowden was the darling of the media back then.
  4. The only thing we know for a fact is that last Saturday they were 27 points better than SC.
  5. I watched the game against USC and think Oregon is a top-3 team. They were unstoppable. They have a unique team with unique talent and a very creative and risk-taking coach who the experts refer to as a young coach with a great mind or something to that effect. Was that game a fluke? Who knows but I'm keeping my eye on them the rest of the season (because they are just plain fun to watch) and if they play the same way they played against USC I don't think there is a team in the country that can beat them even though those teams arguably on paper have more overall talent. One other issue with respect to Oregon that may affect their "chemistry" is the return of that back who punched a Boise State player in their first game and who has been on suspension since then. Will bringing him back into the starting lineup affect that "chemistry?" Talking heads on ESPN brought this question up. They suggested that rather than put him in a starting role on offense, that they should instead use him in kickoffs and punt returns; otherwise, the well-oiled machine might sputter and he might disrupt the chemistry, consistency, success and incredible momentum and execution of a very creative option oriented offense. Their backs are small but lightening quick and the QB can read defenses exceptionally well and burn you in so many ways, as he did against USC. The returning back is a big bruiser and could potentially slow down the entire offense which could end up out of sync with him in his starting role as a back. Thoughts? Highlights Part 1: Highlights Part 2:
  6. I refuse to PM someone who is experiencing PMS.
  7. Well, I don't know about drunk Sooner fans or drunk Irish fans, but I'd rather have a bottle in-front-a-me than a frontal lobotomy! Apologies to GermanyDomer
  8. I agree. That's why I can't understand why da coach and Tim keep bringing it up especially since everyone else decided to let it die for the common good of the board.
  9. Whatever. Da Coach takes his shots wherever he feels like it. So too will be my in-kind responses. I will call him out every time he does this wherever he does this. Fair is fair. He started it. The pot.
  10. Kinda like some of the CW supporters (da coach and Tim) on these boards who keep trying to resurrect an old, worn-out fight by continuously taking cheap shots from the peanut gallery at those on these boards with whom you disagree about CW. Sorry Charlie, but you guys are the ones who keep bringing this up when everyone else chose to remain silent and let it die. You were itching for another fight and that's exactly what you are going to get. Both you "da coach" and "Tim" seem unwilling to stop sniping from the peanut gallery. How about letting it die? Our side has stopped for the sake of peace, yet you just can't let it go. Why? We can see with whom the real problem lies and who starts the fights around here.
  11. After watching on tape the USC/Oregon game early this morning, I'm not so sure about that. Simply unbelievably good team. One of the best, most exciting games I've ever watched. If they continue to play like they did last night, no one will beat Oregon - NO ONE. That game will be on Classic Sports forever it was so good. Don't miss it if it is replayed on TV. I think you will agree with me that there have been fewer games more fun to watch. You just sit there and your jaw drops because you just can't believe they are that good for the entire game. They do what I've never seen very many teams can do. The offense they run confuses even good defenses, their guys are small but lightening quick, and they keep the defense on their heels and confused the entire game. And Oregon's defense has these guys who know how to tackle and they aren't afraid to take it to bigger, stronger athletes. A must see!!!!
  12. I taped the game and just finished watching it. The Ducks were awesome. One of the best college football games I've ever watched. If they replay it, it's worth watching. What a remarkable team the Ducks have. Simply amazing to watch these guys. If they play like they did against USC, who can beat them?

  15. After getting home late from work many moons ago, I never missed a late-night episode of Kojak. Plus Telly Savalas is missing one of his fingers just like me. I lost mine in Vietnam. Rumor has it Telly lost his in WW2 or it got bit off by a rat when he was a baby. Just something to chew on. And the sig is Kojak's favorite question.
  16. You want me to move on but those who criticize other fans on this board can continue to make backhanded swipes at us? Sure I'll move on when they move on. You should be asking them to do the same thing. Ask them to let it be and people like myself will see that you at least are consistent and recognize that they are the source of the problem and we are just responding in-kind. Fair is fair.
