True.  They're young, though.  Will be good to get them some reps.  Tough one for Mitch.  He's really come along this past year.  Hopefully he's back strong next season.

Mitch was having a great year and ranked among the top 5 TE in the nation. He will be missed but Steas needs to step up and raise his talent level to a new high. Look for him to have a big game vs Clemson

Yeah, love Staes athleticism.  Blocks well, too.  More touches for him, Raridon and Flanagan!  They all have NFL-level potential, IMO.

Good Lord giveth(WR getting healthy again) and the Lord taketh(Evans).  

We have some depth at TE, a loss to be sure with the season he's had, but I think we will be alright overall.

It really sucks, and I feel so bad for Evans. But I agree, so next man up!

Damn - sorry to hear this. When it happened, I thought maybe it was just a bruise on the kneecap.  Agree with other comments that he's been a beast this year and hope the other guys are ready to step up.

Evans has been the best and most reliable pass catcher on the team this year. Steas is good but the reciever corp needs to step up even more now.

Sucks to see him get injured after having such a good year. He would have had a tough choice at the end of the year to declare for the draft or not. I think now, he is guaranteed to come back for another year at ND.

I am pretty confident in ND's depth at TE. Staes, Raridon, and Flanagan are all very capable TEs. Heck, Raridon, if healthy, could be the best of all of them.

One other thing on this, but I was surprised Freeman left him and Estime in that long.  I didn't see if anyone questioned that.  During the game, I remembered the announcers wondering why Hartman was still I'm when it was like 41-0
