Hey Domers! The waters have been getting a little testy at times lately, and that's not something we want right before the holidays, so I want to leave a reminder.

Foul language doesn't warrant a suspension / ban. There have been multiple reports coming in from multiple members about language being used. But if it isn't attacking a forum member or threatening, it doesn't warrant disciplinary action. Obviously, these calls are judgmental, and there could be exceptions, but we do want to allow members to speak freely.

I am a big advocate of using the IGNORE feature if you don't want to see somebody's posts. Just hover over their profile picture and click ignore. On mobile, use this link. If a poster gets under your skin, you'll enjoy the forums much more if you don't see their content, that is if you don't embrace the debates, which is different than just arguing.

I'm going to leave this thread unlocked for the time being for any suggestions and for some open discussion on the topic, in general as well since there's no ND Football until New Year's Day. Drop any feedback here.

Also, I do want this to be a more accessible to all ages (at least PG-13+), plus advertisers are not fans off certain language, so I might put some auto-censors in place. Examples: Fug or F*&K instead of F***. 

If you want to make some censorship suggestions, please drop them in this thread, and please use asterisks instead of the word you want to replace (like shown above).

Agree. At some point that ignore is going to happen. But I like the banter from time to time. So highly unlikely.

I disagree. Depends on a lot of things. I'm college educated, traveled a ton internationally, have a pretty large vocab, don't swear much, but I did when I was young due to where and who I grew up with (Catholic/Irish/German/Italian). I'll still toss several Fs around when I'm hanging with the friends and family I grew up with. The two people that I know who still swear the most, one is a West Point grad, the other an Ivy Leaguer. 

Tomorrow night I will be hanging with some old chums watching the Colts. I look forward to regressing to more primitive times lol.

I love the pre-Manning era Colts. I don't do pro football anymore but I always loved the Bills. The Scott Norwood (Ray Finkle) kick against the Giants was a heartbreaker. I think that is where I really stopped loving pro ball and then the next three years it just got worse.

I digress, my point was only that back in those days Indy and New England were the scrubs of the AFC. They were guaranteed Ws. Crazy to see how things have changed over the years.

But the Colts had Jeff George!

While I don't agree with the censorship to begin with, I get it.  However, we're all mostly men here and if a word offends you then idk how you could be into something like football but anyway...can we at least get the auto change for the "f word" to be either "effing" or "friggin" or "frigging" instead of "friging".  It just doesn't look right lol.
