There are very few songs that Id imagine can compete with the connection that so many people have with Amazing Grace. Millions have known the song for generations.

These types of threads are almost always based on personal preferences.

 

In general, I agree with Amazing Grace.

 

Not the most popular but Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas. Great drums, guitar, piano and lyrics that tell a story with the message to keep striving. It also shifts tempo off and on but does it smoothly.

 

Also, 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago. Terry Kath performs one of my favorite guitar riffs in the middle.

 

Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin is a classic.
