  1. "the Bears opted to hire Matt Nagy as the 16th head coach of the organization on January 8." Although the point is moot, it could be fun to explore who ND could have gone after.
  2. LSU lost to Troy but they also beat Auburn. WTF?
  3. CFP Committee ranks ND schedule as #2 in the country for 2017. I'm not saying it's too hard but it is one of the hardest. I wonder what ND record against Wisconsin's schedule would be.
  4. This be she???? http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u181/wagoneer12/nd%20cop_zpscqibtalp.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u181/wagoneer12/nd%20cop_zpscqibtalp.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u181/wagoneer12/nd%20cop_zpscqibtalp.jpg UGH, forget it.
  5. 4 rushing touchdowns for Wimbush, not since Allen Pinkett has an ND player rushed for four TD's in a game. Wimbush rushed for more yards in this game than any ND QB has ever rushed for in a game. Sure would like to see the passing game step up. Please oh please can the passing game come along and come along quickly. Gonna need the balance against the better teams they face.
  6. I concur. I find the hire interesting and am willing to give him a chance. As has been said coaching vs playing are two different things. Worst D1 QB of all time is a bit of a stretch. Guy threw 61 TD's to 37 picks in 45 games, over 7300 yards and 59.9%. Not a draft pick, but not the worst ever either.
  7. 32 minutes ago ESPN reported that he was picked up by the Bengals. "DB KeiVarae Russell, claimed by the Bengals today, was a third round pick for the Chiefs this year and a surprising release for Kansas City."
  8. Meh.... Butler, a senior from Washington, D.C., was expected to miss at least the first month of the season after suffering a broken left foot in the summer, after breaking the same foot prior to the Fiesta Bowl toward the end of last season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Butler has appeared in 37 games in his first three seasons with the Irish, starting in three, and has tallied 39 total tackles, six pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one interception.
  9. Trying to hold my tongue...but there are a TON of idiots here. First, you don't think CBK, the University, the athletic department don't drill these kids on a regular basis about behavior? FFS! Michael Floyd got popped I believe in spring, so he had a few months to atone. ha. If the precedent is set with Cierre Wood of 2 games for pot, then I am o.k. with 2 games. The gun charge will be the ticket out the door for whoever it truly belongs to. If Butler can get a misdemeanor, maybe he gets 2 games (similar to Rees 1 game). The precedents are set for this to not be a bloodbath for the team. It's not all doom and gloom. Even if all 6 are gone. Whatever. They let the team down, the coach, the university, their families, the fans, and themselves. As far as the race thing....don't go 13 over with no taillights. Don't have smoke billowing out the window (or the odor of pot) when you say "hello officer."
  10. I know! Those numbers are gaudy. I was hoping someone would correct me...but maybe it's right. ha. Edit: It appears I created a mish-mash of 2014 and 2015 numbers. I now have no idea what the payout is, except the B1G will get 64 million dollars. ND and the individual teams...I'm not sure. Source: http://www.statisticbrain.com/college-bowl-game-payouts/ Final Edit. Looks like ND get 9.75 Million (NY6 and Playoff teams get 2 mill per game for expenses) http://thefieldsofgreen.com/2015/12/07/big-10-collects-most-bowl-payouts-in-college-football-playoff-top-25/
  11. 3.75 million for just existing 18 million for playing the fiesta bowl. The B1G will get 50 million for existing. 6 million for MSU making the top 4. 4 million each for Iowa and Ohio State making NY6 bowls. = 64million dollars Iowa will get 18 million for its bowl. OSU will get 18 million for its bowl. MSU will get 18 million for is semifinal game. Yikes!
  12. This is right in the middle of a 15 day recruiting cycle for teams not playing in a Conference Championship this week. How convienient for the story to break while he is out on the recruiting trail. Sigh.
