  1. We ended up with 34+ inches with other areas within 5-10 miles getting up to 40. Dont think we will be having school monday
  2. We dont have any receivers named Dion, but perhaps Deion Walker?
  3. They dropped him because he started kinda lookin at other schools. And he may have dropped a star/rating because he plays quarterback for his high school team and didnt really show his receiver skills. Also at the all-star games, he struggled learning the concepts of things that guys who have been playing receiver their whole career already understand. He just needs to be coached, but he is very very talented
  4. Coxson is most likely going to Florida or ND, probably not Georgia. Penn State dropped him and he liked cincy before with kelly and interest in ND before as well. Just need to get him for a visit. Coxson is wide up in the air and he keeps everything close to the vest. He is a good kid who wouldnt just put ND up in his top three for $h*t$ and gigs.
  5. Im just going to say this now, IUB is wrong and the rest of you are wrong.
  6. Tate made Mays his b*tch yesterday on the two touchdowns he had. Mays really didnt do anything tht great.
  7. The truth because you say it is? What nerve? Everyone hides behind a screen. Say who you are and then we will talk about nerve.
  8. Whittingham also lost to a much more inferior Wyoming and UNLV team in successive years. It happens...to everyone!
  9. I won't take the time to debate every statment because it is clear that you are so set in your despise for Weis it doesn't matter. Keep your opinions going strong. It makes for good reading. But I bet your fingers would have been saved had Shaq turned around a little sooner. You see what you want to see and that is that you hate CW. If you don't see the differences in the program before CW than you are the same guy that sees white when others see black. And Clausen now has to run the routes and play defense before you give him an ounce of credit. What else can he do to win? Was Quinn a good QB to you? Was he after season two? You take words and spin them to make your ridiculous points. No one thinks below five hundred is good and no one said that but if you don't think he is the guy for the job than you need to get a grip. You make it seem that better qb play would have won this game. I think the qb position is playing as well as anyone in the country. He is on :flame:. You better look somewhere else. But we know your role on this board. You are the one that was first to post when ND lost in 89 after 23 straight. Fire Holtz...he has lost it!
  10. I would love to take credit for as the author of this, but i did not write it. I got it in an e-mail friend and thought it was well written and would be good for the site. I did not realize the response it would get, and want to make it clear I AM NOT THE AUTHOR. I meant to add this in the orginal post, which i now have done.
  11. ***I would love to take credit for as the author of this, but i did not write it. I got it in an e-mail friend and thought it was well written and would be good for the site. I did not realize the response it would get, and want to make it clear I AM NOT THE AUTHOR.*** Losses are not all the same. When you get beat and overwhelmed it is not a good feeling. When the Holtz teams were beaten they usually beat themselves. ND is back at a level where they have to beat themselves because it will take more to beat them these days. USC is the only team with more talent but ND at home with an offense like that can beat anyone. MSU, Pitt and Stanford are good enough to win if ND hurts themselves again. You don't want Weis fired with the recruiting he is doing and before the incredible cast of current juniors graduates. A new coach will do more damage than good. Weis has a recruiting formula and the coaches to get it done. He made the right calls on the last drive. Refs need to call it when a WR's arm is pinned and players need to convert a wide open ten yard out. I do think Weis is changing and adjusting to the college game. This year's team is different. His comments and attitude are different. He has improved his staff. He makes recruiting a priority. And his play calling is better than the Davie or Willingham days. More expectations mean more criticism when it doesn't all come together. Before the season everyone thought this would be a season to get things back on track. Although a loss is different from a win the Michigan game absolutely points to the fact that ND is on track and has the players to compete and win. And over the next two seasons they will do that. Weis has to get credit. What is different than the Davie and W-Ham days is that every class has been a good recruiting class for the last four (including this year). There will be no drop-off as some fans have posted. The line will always have players. Verducci has had more to do with the success than the age of the lineman. ND has had senior laden OL that didn't do well. On the Davie and W-Ham teams they rarely had a backup in the wings of the top senior talent. Holiday wasn't Jackson. Remember QBs Jared Clark and Gary Godsey. What was that? (I like those guys but not as QBs). Some say Crist has more maturity than Clausen. He definitely has the arm, more mobility and more size. Just like Quinn in the first two years Clausen struggled. He put up decent numbers last year sans the INTs. I think that was more about maturity and trying to do too much himself than his talent. Anyone that says Clausen isn't what people expected getting out of the limo three years ago is just an ND hater. He is only two games into his junior season. He will break all Quinn's records. He will push for the heisman after a season long mocking last year. Weis deserves credit. When you look at a roster you want to see the future replacements or back ups ready to take over after graduating the great player you have had in the program. The next big thing you could say. But the good teams have them at every position after every class graduates. This is done first with recruiting and then with developing through coaching. Clausen was Quinn, Crist will be Clausen with more talent around him. Shaq will be the next big thing at WR. How many thought Kumara will be a four year stud after his freshman season. He would be in the Davie and W-Ham days. He would be if not for the best tandem in college football on the same team. Weis has to get some credit. Riddick will be Allen. Gray will be a better Aldridge (especially when he holds onto the ball). The line has its backups too. Robinson is Olsen already. Wenger would start on most teams. Same with Romine and Cave is close behind. The upgrade on defense is ridiculous and has good if not great back ups at every position. Weis has to get credit. ND is getting studs and top ranked difference makers now. Not just a top ten guy at the position here and there. Davie and W-Ham had class gaps. They would recruit every other year or two. For a good, consistent, successful program, ND needs to have at least two top five, one top ten and one top fifteen recruiting class every four years minimum. Not the total ranking look more at the avg. stars. USC and Florida dominate this category so that should tell you something. Rankings take into account the number. But with the NCAA rules of no more than 25 per year and 85 total you have to have years in the upper teens when other schools max the 25. That is several more players which is significant for that specific year but the avg. stars is a better indicator of the talent coming in. Anyway over the last four years with Weis ND is 6,1,9 and currently 11. Pretty darn good. Weis has to get credit. He also changed recruiting for the better with his "if you look, we look" attitude toward committed recruits. It puts ND and the team before some arrogant kid. Great Move by Weis. Everyone made jokes about it saying the NFL guy doesn't know the landscape of college ball, he will turn kids away. Oh really. They were wrong and many schools demand the same now. He has used it to make sure ND wouldn't suffer. Every team will lose committed recruits in the fall and winter but ND is now in the position to fill that gap and remove the media disaster and bitterness a last minute switch can create. Brian Smith was a second look as was Golden Tate, pretty good pick ups. Weis has backed up what he said. Much like a parent that threatens and then follows through. The kids get the message. You look we are dropping you. He makes a a young man and his family's word and being a part of ND mean something. Davie and W-Ham never cared that much. Weis deserves credit. I think Weis makes mistakes and comes off bad to the media and doesn't always make the right call. But he has changed the program for the better. He has talent here again. He is more humbled. He made the necessary changes on the staff. This is his first team with ALL his players. If you didn't see the improved team everyone expected last Saturday than you just don't want to see and are being unrealistic. I bet everyone on this forum would be satisfied with 10-2 this season. 9-3 tolerable, 11-1 better than expected, right? What is the difference if ND was 5-0 lost to USC and then to Pitt and finished 10-2 or losing to UM and USC and finishing 10-2? I will tell you the difference, UM is a "better" loss than Pitt. And the fact that it is Sunday night right after the loss and it hurts now. Nine wins from now and some unexpected UM wins and it won't sting so much. I never saw a future like this in Davie's fifth year or W-Ham's third. Weis deserves credit and a break. With this loss now the pressure is on the team not to stub their toe anymore before and after USC. I will say that the ND offense I saw against the USC team I saw says that ND has the offense you need to beat USC. I think they can win a shootout. Of course if they do USC will say they beat themselves. That’s what the better teams always say after a loss : )
  12. the spread is the hardest defense to defend. but weis called two great plays tate got ass raped on the bomb on 2nd down with 2 minutes and shaq was open. so get off his back u cant do any better i guarantee. You wouldve been shitting yourselves. N you are not gonna run the ball with hughes. he would not have gotten the first down with 9 guys in the box cause he isnt fast enough.
  13. Michigan is getting SO EFFING LUCKY. enough said. we are dominating with the exception of lucky plays for them/penalties for us.
  14. They have finished all the player rankings. Just don't know when they will be released
  15. Even though i think its ridiculous that we only have one player in the top 100, we should have a good number in the top 250. Also, a lot of our guys should improve their rankings
  16. was supposed to come out yesterday. Anyone with a subscription to rivals know when they plan to release it?
  17. Anyone have the updated roster with the patch?
  18. definitely rivals b/c scout only allows a kid to have 7 schools at max on their profile. Also, rivals is more reliable with who offers and who doesnt.
  19. Wow they must be a prestigous school to have the word university TWICE in their name!
  20. Jeavon kearse, Arthur brown, Lorenzo Booker.
  21. We are not even halfway done our class yet. At the moment, there are more three stars, but at the end of this recruiting cycle, we should have much more four and five than three. Also, i believe a lot of our guys will improve, or stay around the same ranking. None will drop hardly at all. Everyone calm down i think Charlie and the staff knows who's good and who isnt.
  22. This may have already been said, but he is in the ESPN top 150 watch list.
