Nobody mentioned the coach. Brian Polian has never been a good coach. I'm sure the only reason he's still here is because of his dad. It's hard to believe that he left, & Kelly brought him back!

Cmon guys......the answer is staring you right in the face!!!!! IT'S TOMMY, ( DON'T CALL ME TOM............REESE!) You now have one of the worst QB's in ND history,.........trying to help a struggling QB!!) And on top of that ....we still have a nice little "Daisy chain" of idiots still in the loop. We've still got Ron Powlus, ( talking to new recruits?).... Also arguably one of the worst QB's we've ever had,.....& who did BK bring back to continue to screw up our special teams??????? Brian Polian, ( he wasn't any good when he was here before, but I guess those PC favors take a long time to pay back). Bk may have got rid of a few people, but he replaced some of them with some real "gems"! I'm so tired of this.......

Now I've finely figured out why I've also become so apathetic .................It's because we really don't have any open spring practices anymore! Kelly has taken all the fun out of it. What.................is he afraid that someone may memorize his 2 offensive plays?? Logging on here to see a bunch of "blocking & passing" clips has become very boring. I've been a N.D. fan for longer than just about anyone on here...........but it's getting tougher & tougher to stay a fan with Kelly here.

Are there any asst. coaches being retained?

Sorry Faith...........you are ignoring all the facts. Maybe you forgot who was probably the only Q.B. in N.D. football history to totally ignore the coaches direction & play-calling! ....................this is truly a sad day for N.D. football. Why would you want to hire probably one of the worst QB's to ever play the position, ( next to maybe Ron Powlus), to coach Q.B.'s ???????????????????

look............Kelly is now in the perfect scenario for him. If he wins...it is all because of the new coaches he hired...............if he loses.................it's all because of the new coaches! I think they call that being in a no-lose position.

No one..............all the good ones are taken...............Besides, if they're good....Kelly won't take them; ( he doesn't like being up-staged).

Guys..........what GOOD asst. coach would want to come here??????????? Either Kelly stays for one more yr. max, in which case the new asst. knows he is going to be replaced by the new coaches guys, or if they were dumb enough to take the job, they know they would be the scapegoat for all things bad in the future. Kelly's ego doesn't allow for anyone else to do his job, ( play calling ie: Sanford), & he won't fire any of his buddies. We are all pretty sure that BVG wasn't his decision.

gotta disagree on the comment " Ginn turned out alright". The dude has "hands of stone". He is one of the worst receivers in the NFL. Look at how many times he has been traded. I think him & the "Scamster" have a love thing going, & that is why he is still with Carolina.

Faith........FYI.......................Steve Elmer was a lousy tackle, ( he had feet of stone).

Watched the game last night. Floyd had 2 catches, ( I think), one for T.D. I think the coach is really pulling for him because the way he embraced Michael after the play was like a father giving his son a hug. They also mentioned that his catching percentage is the lowest in the league, ( about 34%).

yes....................he did leave the game. He went into the locker room with an ice bag under his shirt/pants...on his right hip. He came back out & stood on the sidelines, ( no apparent limp), but never went back into the game.

OK..I'm really reaching, but I pulled up a name from the past................Mike Heldt, former All-American center. This guy was special. The only problem as I see it would be that I think he is only a high school coach. We did it before...................& things can't be much worse than they are now.

I watched the Oregon game also.........that game also had Big 10 refs. I telling you that we should never play a game again if they are the refs! It is so obvious that the refs are biased for the Big 10. They flat out cost Oregon the game, & with N. D.........I got sick of seeing the homerism from them.................on our own field. I was wondering.....when is Kelly going to say something? I don't know what options he has during a game. He should have got up in the head refs face & at least asked him what the hell was going on, ( if if he got ejected!) If you were watching closely, you would see that they were giving Sparty every break they could. Why have 1st down chains, if the refs are going to place the ball wherever they want! It was pretty bad..................And yes,............Kelly is a pitiful game day coach.

I'm sorry, but Manti was extremely slow, even for a MLB. He was required to do pass coverage, & he was never very good at it, ( just being honest).

Yes.......................Tommy did call the plays.................or have u forgotten how many times he audibled the play called in from Kelly, ( just ask Kelly)..................And how did that turn out?

some of your already know that he, ( BVG), is a big problem when it comes to learning his defense. How can you expect a player to step in immediately, when it takes so long to learn his system? Does anyone remember the interview with the DB, ( the one from Cali. with the big "fro")..................he said his Mandarin Chinese class was easier to learn than learning BVG's defense!!..............The trouble is,...........he wasn't kidding!
