    You can thank me (actually my wife) for the undefeated season. She traveled to Ireland this summer and bought me shamrock boxers. I waited and wore them the first time before Michigan and then for every game since. I am traveling for Christmas and will be bringing them with me for the playoffs. Most uncomfortable pair of underwear ever, but my pain is all Notre Dame fan’s gain ?

    Can ND get their receivers coach? I only saw the 2nd quarter yesterday, but their receivers were fighting for and catching everything. Fun to watch!

    Offers are one data point and can definitely be telling, but keep in mind not all situations are equal. Some kids more actively seek out offers than others, some commit early and shut down communication with other schools , some only seek out schools with a particular academic or geographic trait, some are considered a lock to go to a school so it is not worth the effort for other schools to pursue them, some offers are not commitable, etc.

    I share the same question, but given the proximity, I would imagine that the coaches have him well scouted and know what they are getting.

    How do you think this works? He get shown the door? If it was me I would prefer 3rd string and an ND degree over anything at Illinois State.

    Seriously. Is the coaching so much worse than previous seasons, the talent, the leadership? I know there have been disappointments in previous seasons too, but what is making this season the worst since Weis? What are your theories?

    Thanks LV! I had never seen that offer site before -- that is a great reference. Unfortunately it showed how much butt Ohio State is kicking so far.

    Where can I find the Greg Bryant banner? All I see is the banner of the snowy campus and the team walking in a row inside a stadium hallway, but I think that is an older banner. Thank you.

    Pay the extra and get the Weber. I have had mine for 10 years and it is still in amazing condition. Automatic ignition works on first try every single time, no rust, even cooking. I was hesitant to spend the money, but it has easily paid me back.

    Never understood why coaches wouldn't set an example and take advantage of trainers and workout facilities. But I like to exercise. Anyway,go Irish!

    Regarding safety. Can't Shumate and Farley play at same time? Are they not trained in the other safety position?

    The "4" does not necessarily mean where the team finishes in the league, but rather that bowl gets the 4th choice from that league. Pinstripe Bowl in New York would probably pick a local team (Rutgers) even if another team has a better finish in the league.

    What's with everyone drinking Newcastle? It is fine, I just never thought it so popular that about half the people that mentioned beer on a thread would be drinking it (and it is not Irish, so there is not that connection). I personally just moved to Texas and I have been busy trying all the different microbrews. Just curious ... Also, I never have had Texas caviar, but I now have plans to try it very soon -- thanks for the tip!
