  1. Can you imagine what Quinn would have made if NIL was a thing in 2005?!? The supplement companies alone would have been lining up.
  2. He also hasn’t ghosted the other recruits like Keeley did. That was the real indicator for him.
  3. I thought the same thing. My guess is he doesn’t preach much toughness in his speeches, haha.
  4. Call me crazy, but I actually think the QB situation at ND is one of the most appealing parts. Your competition would be an injury prone QB that struggled mightily in his first two starts and so far has only shown to be a run-first guy. Then, two freshman. That's about as good of a path of least resistance you're going to find on a team with realistic playoff aspirations. Combine that with what I can only assume would be an enticing NIL offer upfront, PLUS, can you imagine the offers that would roll in if we had a quality QB at the University of ND?
  5. Obviously the amount of transfer portal players is astonishing, and when combined with EE, and NIL stuff, roster management really is the Wild West at this point. And, while there may need to be some bumpers implemented, this seems like one of those systems that will iron itself out in the next few years. As soon as the NIL money dries up for HS recruits and "potential" or P4P (I have a hunch it will after endless busted recruits flame out with millions in booster money and the boosters with nothing to show. You think TA&M boosters are lining up after their season and multiple kids leaving with their bag in hand?). Also, as soon as these kids leaving for greener pasture find nothing but a mud hole, they may not be so eager to leave their current situations. The thing I don't see changing is big dollars being thrown at big time college players to transfer. Some will take the offer, some will use it as a bargaining chip. I'm all for the players getting their piece of the pie, but I can't imagine being a coach trying to field a good team and not knowing who is coming or going from one day to the next.
  6. No one really knows for sure, I guess. We're all sort of trying to read the tea leaves here. But, based on the updates from the OU recruiting guys, whatever he is saying is leading them to believe he will flip to them. And, I'm sure the ND staff is recruiting him as if he's not committed. Maybe he's even said he's not? Perhaps everything is above board and he's told both sides he's torn and will make a final decision on whatever date.
  7. I get that, but if he leaves one school high and dry at the end (after what you’d have to assume is telling them he’s coming), it may burn that bridge either way.
  8. Right which means to me they are telling both sides what they want to hear. It would have been pretty easy for Bowen to shut down the OU talk LONG ago if he was truly committed.
  9. Fingers crossed on this one. Would be a huge get.
  10. It would be nice but I've essentially resigned myself to the fact he's not signing with ND. Just too many Amorion Walker vibes at this point. Every update the comes out from the OU side is positive for them. Not to mention, we're battling the dreaded high school GF. Not sure we've ever won one of those. On top of dad preferring OU, the HS coaching staff being in bed with OU. What doesn't make sense is, why hasn't he already jumped ship? Just afraid to tell the ND coaches the tough news?
  11. I’m glad MF learned from his mistake last year. I’m also glad he’s being honest with kids, it seems.
  12. Seems the Klubnik era has started in Clemson. Wonder if there would be any interest in DJU? Though I’m sure his dad would only be interested in the biggest bag.
  13. Going from a scooter to playing in less than a month? That would be impressive
  14. Think it’s bs that they had clear video evidence of him being down at the 1 inch line on third down. Yet they spot it at the half yard line. Then, imagine that, they are a few inches short on 4th
  15. Not to mention, if he doesn’t, not sure TB12 would make it through the game.
  16. What would you think of Liufau? Though I can’t say I was impressed with his incessant need to run into a brick wall every time. But coaches seem unwilling to sit him.
  17. Sounds like Buchner might be on pace to start the bowl game. And could be a big reason Pyne left.
  18. It's hard for me to even figure out who I want as QB1 next year. They all have questions marks, which I suppose is why they are in the portal. In no particular order: Card - highly-rated out of HS, played in TX, has shown potential. I view him as Ian Book 2.0. Better arm, more athletic, not afraid to throw it down field. But he doesn't have a ton of experience at this point, so it's not a sure-fire pick. Armstrong - do you get 2021 version, or 2022 version? He's prone to a lot of interceptions but the guy can sling it and is athletic. Plus, he looks like he should be on the ND team, ha. Leary - He'd be my #1 for sure if it wasn't for the injury. Who knows how that heals. Will he be ready for spring ball? If not, that's a HUGE risk for ND. There's a couple other names being thrown around and I suppose there's probably a surprise or two still to come, but that's how I see it as of now.
  19. Completely agree. No idea what the upside of a move to FAU would be other than familiarity with the offense. It seems ANY P5 program would be a better move for him, even if not ND.
