mcgov12 1,237
I won’t miss his smirk and smug aura of being better than everyone 1
Krsta 24
It’s better to resign then be fired.

4thand1 272
I am not super knowledgeable about the stanford situation but I seem to remember that Shaw's past success was predicated on excellent assistants that they couldn't keep. Perhaps Shaw was never the main reason for past success as much as his staff was. A team's staff must be willing to pay top dollar for worthy assistants if they are going to have sustained success. FaithInIrish Forever 4,707
I think that was coming. Ends the Harbaugh/Shaw Era at Stanford. Jim has brought Michigan back now surpassing where he had Stanford. The recruiting just did not stay the same for the Cardinal.
coltssb 1,044
I always said he was a bad coach. Which is mind boggling that Freeman lost to him. That program continued to go down hill every year he was there. But Stanford doesn’t care about football so they let it be. So good for them and being stinky. Soko 128
This is the exclamation point on by far the worst loss of the season. They were terrible!!

coltssb 1,044
Very true. But ND has at least demonstrated at times that they at least care about being an above .500 team. I can’t say the same about Stanford.
DamshaBua 48
I hate his smug face. Shaw wears his smugness like a badge of honor on a random Tuesday getting coffee; it is amplified 658% when he beats ND. I'm still trying to understand that one. Stanford was effing terrible this year, just abominably bad.
