David Shaw Resigns as Head Coach of Stanford

Recommended Posts

I am not super knowledgeable about the stanford situation but I seem to remember that Shaw's past success was predicated on excellent assistants that they couldn't keep.  Perhaps Shaw was never the main reason for past success as much as his staff was.  A team's staff must be willing to pay top dollar for worthy assistants if they are going to have sustained success.

I always said he was a bad coach. Which is mind boggling that Freeman lost to him. That program continued to go down hill every year he was there. But Stanford doesn’t care about football so they let it be. So good for them and being stinky.
