  1. Shouldn't the NIU coach be learning from the ND coach? This says a lot to me, and none of it is good.
  2. Everybody should be on notice. Freeman is on notice. Carr or Angeli should get first team reps. No passing TDs in 2 weeks, 5 converted third downs. Leonard should be on notice. This was 2 steps away from App State-Michigan. It's definitely in the same zip code. It was the most humiliating loss in ND history. Go to Kyle in one of the nastiest places in CFB and handle business yet get confused and pushed around by NIU at home. I'm still shaking my head 2 days later. I think it's fair to start asking the questions. This can't happen EVER; it's utterly unacceptable. I want Freeman to be the guy so badly. He's young, still jacked, good looking. All things that should work in a living room selling Billy on coming to cold South Bend where he will actually have to go to class.
  3. He's an Alabama alum and already won 2 NCs. I assumed the job was his to turn down whenever Saban decided to hang it up. Alabama will spend whatever it takes. Lanning is 37 and had success far outside of his comfort zone which is the south. He looks like the real deal to me and is 17 years Dabo's junior. Kirby won't leave UGA (alum), but you at least have to make the call.
  4. Banking on QBs with one year of eligibility through the portal is dangerous, imo. It's not hard to imagine a scenario where a player like Angeli leaves for whatever reason and they strike out on the portal. Then we're left with a Frosh like Carr who has never taken a snap.
  5. I would rather rent an elite DB, WR, or edge rusher and develop a QB in-house. Does Angeli leave now?
  6. When Hartman is bad, he is terrible. The O-line was utter horseshite. Another egg laid by staff and players. Sam Hartman better update his resume for a career in the CFL or a role on "Yellowstone."
  7. They look beat to hell to me. Maybe it is the adrenaline dump after playing two straight games on the razor's edge. I really wish they had a bye this week.
  8. Being in So Call, I have seen most of USC's defense. U$C's defense is REALLY bad. They do have the best player in CFB but quite a bit and than can be enough. Losing to them is not a given. In fighting, the adage is styles make fights. Estime is all wrong for them. ND does look worn out and beat up. We'll see.
  9. Another year and another defender of traditions that should have been thrown in the garbage decades ago. So-called "chop" blocks have been illegal for decades; "cut" blocks are still legal. I've dealt with the history for the 40 years I have been a fan. Some things are better off going away. I agree on Tennessee State. That is an embarrassment.
  10. I agree with this. I have been saying for years that the debt to ND has been repaid with usurious interest. ND gets nothing out of winning and heaven forbid they lose. Get rid of it. I just want ND to come out of this with all of their knee ligaments still attached. I hate this game.
  11. Notre Dame probably dodged a football bullet. If he can’t figure out a.m. or p.m. on his LOI, I’m fairly certain he could not handle a full load academically. He is a kook will probably end up an All American . . .
  12. When do we find out that Scott is going to somewhere not named Notre Dame?
  13. Has ND won one of these since Diaco hid in the bushes to get Tuitt, or got Lynch at the last minute?
  14. Once upon a time, a Catholic HS kid from Chicago would have never gone anywhere ese if ND wanted him. It's now probably 50/50 in ND v. the field. Even if he commits, I won't buy it until a year from now. USC is going to throw giant bags of money and, unlike Florida, their collective is real.
  15. I don’t know what the hell he was looking at. The guy was right in front of him.
