He had been an assistant coach at Auburn and at East Carolina, and he was the starting shortstop on three College World Series teams at Florida State. All those teams made it to the NCAA's this year. Auburn and E Carolina play today to see if they advance; Fla State is out. But, he certainly has strong 'links' to those schools, and if they come calling...
