This is a development year for our younger players who are going to be very good. Brey will never sit Rex or Gibbs, as he always defers to upperclassmen. So, we will struggle, but be a better team next year. Hopefully, recruits will see where we're headed, not where we are.

Silving lining: think this helps the rotation more. Sucks for Carmody, but at least he reserves a year and it helps with next years recruiting class in a sense for numbers.

ND loses to Syracuse 72-62 to fall to 10-5.

 

Not much to say besides it’s going to be a long long season watching this team brick shot after shot.

I really think he needs to move Gibbs back to PG and bench Hubb. He has not been good.

The other two freshman are playing pretty well.

hubb has been watching gibbs too much. He is not playing within the offense. He is taking too many bad shots. I would like to see him pull up some film of atkins and jackson. He needs to start driving and creating open looks for others more. That needs to be his role right now. He is hunting his own shot way too much. I think he can create offense with his quick dribble drive. If he starts doing more of that he really could find his role on this team right now.

Agree with that. Too many deep threes going up from him. The first few games I watched he did seem to drive and dish more.
