2018 Recruiting Prospects

That probably is the last one I remember working out for ND at least. Maybe Solo Pupu can do a repeat and have a similar career (except a better girlfriend).

Brown - ND

C’Bo - ND

Eason - ND

Patterson - ND

NPF - Florida, but it’s close. I hope him and Patterson are reversed.

Solo - USC, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see ND here.

Keys - ND, but if both Patterson and NPF want in, I could see the staff saying no.

 

Will be interesting the next week.

 

My hope would be to finish with Brown, Eason, Patterson, NPF and Solo.

 

I like Keys, but in that scenario there is no spot and I don’t personally care to add C’Bo. I understand depth is an issue, and I know he’s likely NDs at this point...I would just rather add the superior talents and figure the RB position out.

A ton of crystal balls coming in for ND. Looking good.

 

For a little perspective, DJ Brown was Virginia's highest ranked recruit for this year.

CB DJ Brown

ND: too much more to offer over NU and Cal (Wardlow, coaching staff, facilities, academics and better football tradition)

 

RB C'Bo Flemister

ND: sounds like he was impressed by his visit and we need him

 

OT Patterson

UCLA: down to UCLA and ND, decides to stay on the West Coast. We'll get kudos for the effort but got too active too late to overcome his comfort level with UCLA

 

OT NPF

FLA: nothing to base this on other than reverse psychology hoping that I'll be happy to be wrong if he picks ND

 

LB Solo

ND: his relationship with Lea and experience on his visits will cause him to go against the grain

 

DE Eason

ND: I feel if the staff presses, he will flip to ND. I think the staff will make him a priority if they want to take 27 and we miss on NPF and Patterson

 

WR Keys

ND: same logic as Eason - he will want to come here and will have a spot

How would you know this? By all accounts, she was a wonderful girlfriend to Manti. Just not real.

He can be an anchor for years a la Martin, Stanley or McGlinchy. Also, still happy with our LB haul as it is

Important pick up and surprising, even without NPF. This year was down on high end OL compared to '19, but we lose our left side and need bodies for depth. We really have to get hits for next year's class on both sides of the line.
