  1. It's weird, doesn't seem to be out anywhere.
  2. Which quote was that? FYI, at least one ND paysite has said that the Walkers (as in both Amorion AND his parents) weren't honest throughout the process, so I'm not sure how much stock to put into anything he says. There's literally nothing to stop him from lying when he knows that no coach will duke it out with a recruit in the media.
  3. Schrauth signed after Kelly left. He's said publicly that he didn't really like Kelly all that much, but liked Freeman. Notre Dame recruit takes shot at Brian Kelly after committing (larrybrownsports.com)
  4. According to Eric Hansen's chats, something is in the works.
  5. Seems like a bit of a cop out, IMO. Dirksen lined up with the 1's on OL today, and no one is seriously saying he'll start. If Botelho is still playing with the 3's in the next few weeks, I'll be worried. He's 1b to Foskey's 1a.
  6. I believe the expression our parents used was "TS". ?‍♂️ Seriously, it's a real middle finger to the (not inconsiderable) ND international fan base
  7. Pete Sampson joked recently that if moms picked schools for their kids, ND would have won the NC 80% of the last few years.
  8. Wow, it's almost 50-50, after being like 6% ND - 94% UGA literally this morning.
  9. In fairness, he said that same thing like two days before Alize was booted for the year. Who knows?
  10. I've seen folks say that it's not a 420-related offence. I would then assume grades or personal conduct. Or he ran over Kelly's cat. Who knows?
  11. There are rules about it, of course. for example, you can't stash players in, say, the fencing or golf teams. He'll be allowed academic aid, as I understand it, and will get a scholarship either if there's a tonne of defections in the spring, or for his sophomore season. It's a kinda, sorta greyshirt, if I'm reading it right.
  12. I'd rather ND face anyone but Bama in the semis. Bama will wipe most teams off the map. I'd rather ND play any of the others well (and preferably win), to show they belong. If Bama kills ND in a playoff game, the same crowd who said that ND didn't belong in the NC game in 2012 will be right there to do an encore. A lot of recruiting momentum in 2012 went off the rails after the NC game. You can get players to come to ND if they show that they're at or just a smidge behind the elite. You can't if ND is wiped out.
  13. Uh, did they just Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V the Tranquill injury report from the 2015 GT game?
  14. The fact that he ended up at "Last Chance U" tells me that he was let go over something serious. If it was getting a little too much help on homework or some parietals thing, another school would have taken him.
  15. Thanks for that. Hadn't read the story. I wonder if the silence from the staff is due to the type of #2 WR they were looking for in this class. With Lenzy and Keys last year, I thought they wanted Cornelius Johnson or Kendall Abdur Rahman (i.e. taller outside guys) for the second slot, if they took a second at all. Both Lenzy and Keys do what TJ does, but faster. Part of me thinks the staff may try to shake him loose and keep recruiting the other guys.
  16. Really?! I never heard that. What did he say?
  17. Stolen from elsewhere: The Mutual of South Bend Insurance Company. Zero premiums, payout guaranteed. Commit until you're done your senior season uninjured, then go where you really want. If you tear an Achilles or something, you have a free degree to fall back on. Good scam if you can get it.
  18. May have been a panicky commit after Hart pulled the trigger. If he's not fully committed, ND shouldn't be either.
  19. Well, I can't blame him for that. Who wouldn't want to go back to where they graduated from and....[googles "Mike Elston"]....Oh, God no. No. Just no. Noooope. I don't care what he's done for ND, he goes there and he's dead to all of us. /
  20. "Someone" as in "someone who's in a position to know such things", or "Someone who's just stirring the pot for some laughs"? Losing a guy who's been passed on the depth chart is one thing, losing a projected starter/co-starter is another.
  21. I think so. The rationale was that the Service Academies had weight limits, so they had to use unorthodox blocking to match up with bigger players. Since they don't seem to be observing those weight limits anymore, I agree that it's time to look at cut blocking.
  22. Jones sat out most of the Navy game because he was worried about a lower leg injury in what was essentially his NFL tryout year. It was confirmed by multiple pay sites.
  23. Academics, looks like. https://notredame.rivals.com/news/notre-dame-te-alize-jones-declared-academically-ineligible
  24. He spent waaaay too much time and effort trying to get into Stanford for that to have been a smokescreen. Whatever else you want to say about the kid, he is/was serious about acamademics (sic).
  25. It's a position of depth now that the roster has reset and everyone will be back healthy. RB was a position of depth until Bryant transferred, Folston went down, J. Brent was redshirted/decontaminated, Prosise got banged up....
