Charlie is a great mentor of thses players, but not so much in the leadership department during preperation and on game day. I also don't know of any player who does not like coach Weis, If there are some I would think they would have chose to either not play here in the first place or transfer. I'm sure many of them are dissappointed like all of us in the way the games have played out.

I really hope not. Ferentz is not a top shelf coach imo and I would even prefer Patterson or Peterson to him. Heck I might take the Northwestern's coach before him. Ferentz is a solid coach, but not a difference maker.

I am going to say that Bob Stoops will be the coach. I'm not sure why but that is what I'm feeling at the moment and it would be a great selection. I do feel however that we have a better chance with a few other coaches out there. haha how odd would it be to bring in Stoops and then play OU in 2012. GO IRISH! The future is bright!

I too am sad to see the big guy gone from this school but he blazed his own trail. Thank you Mr.Weis for making Notre Dame fun to watch again and for giving us hope. He will do well in the NFL once again, who knows maybe he could be reunited with Brady or Jimmy down the road. I can't wait to see who becomes the next coach and much like Hawaii I was favoring Gruden but now talks of Stoops and even UM have me trying to decide what would be best for us. GO IRSIH! I hope Charlie comes out Saturday with Green Jerseys on and lets Jimmy loose to bomb away for their last great day in South Bend. I would also like to see James Aldridge and all the rest of the seniors sent out with a win.

Hey if we come out and win this game a sign that says: How do you like that Mark May? Would be awesome. Or even Hey Lou, tell Mark May Pitt just lost to a team that got beat by Navy last week.

Did anyone notice that Gruden had a blue and gold tie one during Monday night football this week?

I like the Barr Idea.. But then again I like the idea of handing the ball to Manti on the goal line.

I hope Golden goes on to play in the NFL. I hate that we don't get to see Shark out there snagging td passes and Golden will be great in the NFL. I'm not a big baseball guy though so maybe that is why I don't like seeing these guys go that route.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Mike Floyd is back baby!! I can not wait to see him out there again catching td passes from Jimmy and possibly Goodman. Once he is back in game shape Jimmy should have no problem getting 3-4 td passes a game again instead of the 2-3 he has had while Floyd was out. GO IRSIH! Beat WSU and Navy and Pitt and Stanford! (Floyd is my fav. so I favor him over Golden but I would not trade the two of them for any other two in the game.)

You know any names of young guys rising up the ranks that would be willing to come take over the defense at Notre Dame? I really don't know many assistant coaches in college, but I'm sure there is someone out there.

After seeing the throw to Rudolph again, he was out of course BUT If Jimmy looked inside Ragone was in a good position for a pass thrown away from the LB and an easy score.

I was just throwing an Idea out there, the guy did do some great things with NE but so have many others since him.

If the D were not to improve at all, and Weis did make a move, what about bringing Romeo onto the staff? I have always liked Tenuta but I'm not so sure he can co-exist and call plays effectively. Anyone else think getting rid of Corwin is a better idea or both, explain your reasoning and what you see for our defense in the future (assuming we finish the season with wins and Weis is still around).

You are correct, Smith play olb while Bruton was the other safety. I too agree he deserves more time to adjust but maybe we need to sit him for half a game to wake him up a little bit. Maybe play Ray Herring or Zeke.. heck is Leonard Gordon still on the team?
