  1. I really like the class overall. I really like all the skill guys on offense, we have playmakers in there. Getting Denbrock as OC and his vision of getting players in space and letting them make plays bodes well for thus group. Really want to see Carr's development physically, I think he has the mental acumen that runs in the family. Also looking forward to CJ Williams seeing time, needs to be in the playbook. On defense, I have probably been the highest on Young than anybody. His dad is one of my all time favorites and I believe he will follow closely in the old man's footsteps. It may be hard to keep KVA off the field, he will play a lot in '24 I suspect because he's that good and gifted athletically. I like the OL, there is potential there, yet there shouldn't be an urgent need for early time for any of them. Agree on missing the big interior DL. However I can see Young be an inside/outside guy similar to how Papa was used or Mills. I really like the overall size and athleticism for this group. There is potential for some position switches for some ala Watts.
  2. What kind of a school would fall for such an obvious, money grabbing ruse...er...nevermind...
  3. Don't really care. It's funny how many jobs he's rumored for over the years. He pissed me off with his deliance with the Eagles right before the NC game. Harbaugh will have UM backing up the Brinks truck to keep him there. If he does leave I'm sure BK has a large buyout that they'd balk at paying. But stranger things happen. Either way F him and F Michigan!
  4. Prayers for a safe and happy Christmas for everyone! God Bless!
  5. Big upgrade over Parker with experience overall. Denbrock knows ND given this will be his 3rd stint here. We won't see LSU production, Daniel's was a special player. This is the mentor type OC that Freeman needs to help balance his short comings on that side of the ball. I just dislike the Kelly stank that we just can't seem to get rid of. Please give us a productive offense that can win the big ones and not be so predictable.
  6. Sounding like Denbrock is probably going to be the OC...
  7. Agree. The athletics and polish of a WR coming in as a freshman. Claypool as an example, was a heck of an athlete, but he didn't have the polish initially as a WR. One can hope he as big of a beast Floyd was, or dare I say better.
  8. Ahhh those were the days back in the late 90's and early 2000's on a board or two I was on prior to DD. I miss them to an extent, but I do like quiet signing days too.
  9. Correct on the camps. I don't know what type of lifting program he's involved with or if he's even lifting, but that will help. Beside the lifting, incorporating a program with it that develops plyometrics and running that will help enhance balance and speed. He seems to have a good frame, and has room to grow. Development of strength especially fast twitch muscle fibers, which more directly correlates to explosiveness is key. Football is all about violent short bursts. Ask around close to you. Connor Colby, starting OL for Iowa, graduated a few years ahead of my son. He had the dream of DI too and started asking around with what he needed to achieve his goals. Those types of Q&A can come with the camps.
  10. Should we start using Coach Dick Freeman or Dick Coach Freeman to shorten that title? Or if he's doing really bad Dick Head Freeman...
  11. I dunno. Could we at least kick some tires on a newer model...😆😆
  12. And hopefully the Admin, outside of the usual vetting process, doesn't f* up this coach search again. Keep JS mitts away!
  13. Denbrock, he knows the landscape having been here for two stints and is closer to his roots/family perhaps. Has experience. Not the hire I would look for. For me I'm looking to get away from the Kelly tree and his offense. I get LSU was really good on O this season and their QB made huge strides from his ASU days. Obviously just a name at this point anyhow...
  14. Gino gets the OC nod or bring in an experienced OC? Grab the Duke OC, may help with Riley?
  15. Like I mentioned in another post, I believe Jagusah is our next great LT. If Alt hadn't been here this season I imagine Jagusah would have been starting at one of the tackle positions opposite Fisher.
  16. That's unfortunate. Prayers to him and getting help for whatever he is dealing with.
  17. 213. In honor of deer season, which both my son and I got two:
  18. Congrats to Alt and Watts for both being named unanimous All Americans! They are the 35 and 36 ND players to hold such distinction!
  19. 210. Well it has to be exciting for the world to see which directional, DII, school of the blind, south of the Mason Dixon university the behemoths line up next season for their OOC slate.
  20. Instead of the 12th man like A&M we can go the 5th or 6th QB from the stands if we need TB or Pyne...
  21. FWIW Watts and Alt are one publication away from being unanimous All-Americans. Not that the NFL cares about the awards. Alt just declared for the draft as expected. I hope Watts gets good advice and has a clear picture of his draft chances. I don't know how much he could improve his stock coming back, selfishly that would be nice, but is it in his best interest?
